CAN'T WAIT WEDNESDAY
BOOKS FROM THE BACKLOG

As you can see, I didn't publish a BOOK JACKET post for May! I don't know how that happened, so I posted a special MY WEEKLY PULL, so I could do my monthly link-up with CAN'T WAIT WEDNESDAY and BOOKS FROM THE BACKLOG. Come on... get it together, La La.
If you follow me on Instagram @LaLaCanifshewants2, you may have noticed my account has become more Harry Potter/Wizarding World focused and I am about to become more Potter-centric on Twitter, too. However, instead of changing up my book blog account @LaLasBookStuff, because I know some of you don't give a tinker's damn about Harry Potter, my personal account @Canifshewants2, has been changed into my Harry Potter focused account.

My health isn't as good as it was even six months ago, and I was hoping there was going to be a quick recovery bounce back from all my health issues in the beginning of the year, but getting older can muck things up in that department, ha ha. The blog content keeping things afloat here, with only managing to post twice a week, are the HP/Wizarding World features. They pull in around five times the views as my top regular feature, Tell Me Tuesday. Therefore... yer a wizard, Harry!

Mother's Day was the second Sunday in May for the US and many other countries. Baz Manchild did the usual and gifted a book, gave me chocolate, and fetched my traditional take-out meal of two fish filets and fries from McDonald's (with which I drank a bottle of Boyans Shirley Temple specialty soda from my special stash). I hate going out to restaurants on Mother's Day, it's too chaotic.

I found an article about how deeply I feel about the Filet-O-Fish: HERE. The fellow pescetarian who wrote it is my soulmate, ha ha!

And no, I didn't get two Harry Potter illustrated editions for this Mother's Day. He still owed me Fantastic Beasts from LAST Mother's Day. Ha! Now I have all of the illustrated editions which have been published, except for the UK version of Beedle the Bard. I'm going to ask for the slipcase deluxe collector's edition as a combined birthday/yule present, because it costs over $100! I like the artwork in the UK version better. I am hoping it will drop down to around $80 by Christmastime.

Baz felt guilty about not getting downtown to buy the handmade fudge he traditionally gives me for Mother's Day, so last weekend when he went to Syracuse with friends he bought a chocolate frog and a gummy lime/cherry Fluffy for me. The Pusheen chibi eating chips wasn't for Mother's Day, he always buys me something when they go on an out-of-town trip.

CUTE!

I won a giveaway on Instagram from Rosie Talbot @merrowchild for a Woody Book Opener and a book of my choice. I chose The Priory of the Orange Tree as my book prize.
Seeing that I don't read many physical books, and the contest was international, when I messaged the book opener company I asked if they could instead send it to Annemieke, from A Dance With Books, because she was in need of some cheering up. They replied they would send one to both of us! I chose the cat style for her. They even enclosed a little gift note for me.

Annemieke has already received hers!
I'll be giving mine away in a winter holidays goodies box contest.

I've been playing this solitaire app for nearly six years and this was the first time I won each daily challenge game for the month on the first try, hence the jeweled crowns. I was so excited!

THOROUGHLY RANDOM THURSDAYS
*There will always be a chance of a DOWN THE TBR HOLE, CONVERSATIONS, RAVE/RANT/REWIND REVIEW, AS SEEN ON TV, KONDO MY KINDLE, CHIT CHAT, ENORMOUS PURPLE MEGAPHONE, CHALLENGES UPDATE, ANTISOCIAL MEDIA, MOST EXCELLENT, or TAG - YOU'RE IT!

There will be one new, and one revamped randomly occurring feature here in the library. MOST EXCELLENT will be links to noteworthy blog posts, articles, and YouTube videos I have come upon in my travels across the blogosphere.

ENORMOUS PURPLE MEGAPHONE is a revamp of POTTER CHAT. I was asked to remove the word "chat" from Potter Chat because there is a YouTube channel, or podcast (?) called Potter Chat. I figured I'd go way out there with the title, so it wouldn't be similar to anything else: past, present, or future. It's based on the enormous purple megaphone Professor McGonagall used on the quidditch pitch.

JUNE'S READING AND BLOGGING THEME IS... CATCHING UP!
It was supposed to be "classics", but seeing I'm doing an entire year of classics next year, and I am behind with ARC and review books, a catch-up month makes more sense.

Don't forget the SYNC free audiobook for this week!

Have a spectacular new month, my friends!
