TELL ME TUESDAY #90

TELL ME TUESDAY is a floating feature, depending on your reading style, where you tell us what you read last, what you are reading now, what you will be reading in the future from your tbr pile, and why. I am oh so curious why people read what they read. So itell me!
Joining us this week...
Elizabeth from SO LONG... & THANKS FOR ALL THE FISH
&
Michelle from IN LIBRIS VERITAS
Go have a peek at their latest grabs and tell them yours!

LAST
I am going to be using TMT LAST as my weekly update post for ARC APRIL!
I used minion gifs in my ARC August updates, so I want to keep the tradition going.

Since the 1st of April I have read...
Another Middle Grade with an 11 year old MC who is concerned with YA subject matters.  I just keep shaking my head.

GOODREADS REVIEW
I loved an adored this Children's chapter book / Middle Grade!
Week one grand total is two ARCs!

NOW
This is a pubbed ARC I didn't get to, but it still counts toward ARC April. It has a similar feel to The Thirteenth Tale, which I loved, but the 1969 storyline is falling flat so far. I really like the backstory, though.

NEXT
I am reading this for a blog tour review post on the 26th. Keep an eye out for that post on my Middle Grade blog, Paper Dragons, because there is going to be a $25.00 Amazon GC or Paypal giveaway with it. There is also a giveaway on Goodreads: HERE. This qualifies for ARC April, too.

Yes, I am planning on finishing Black Rabbit Hall and reading these two ARCs before next Tuesday. I am on a roll!
What are you reading? Tell me!

  1. The last book I read was The Rose and the Dagger, and it was AMAZING, I absolutely loved it. I'm currently reading The Marked Girl and it's great as well. Soon, I'm hoping to read some published books, like The Raven Boys series. I'm curious about Down With The Shine, so I hope you love it!

    1. Yes to The Raven Cycle books! I read the first one and am saving the last three to binge read this summer. The synopsis for Down With the Shine was quite interesting. :)

  2. I joined this week! I'm going to alternate between this and Top Ten, since some of the topics on Top Ten sort of fall flat for me. I love the cover of Cody! I'm going to look into that one, and Down with the Shine looks pretty interesting as well.

    1. Cody might still be available on Netgalley. I can't remember if I got Down with the Shine from EW or NG. I will have to check. Whoo hoo! I will head over to your post right now! :)

    1. I will take all the gelato! Ha ha. Yeah, the cover to Down With the Shine is pretty eh, so it is a good thing it's synopsis is interesting. :)

  4. Well you already know what I recently read from visiting my blog. I just finished reading Fear My Mortality last night. I am starting War of Words today and will also be trying to read Elementals 1 & 2 by Michele Maddow. I am reading all these books because they were sent to me for review. They were all books I was interested in reading though as well.

    1. War Of the Worlds is a fabulous book! I think I will be reading it again sometime in the future. You are doing really well with the Challenge. :)

  5. I really liked Black Rabbit Hall but it definitely took me awhile to connect with the 1969 story. I like the look of Cody! Good luck with your ARCs! I'm reading Silenced in the Surf which is a cozy mystery (I'm sure you're shocked) and Whiskey Beach by Nora Roberts which I'm enjoying!

    1. Ha ha ha. I am surely shocked! I like Black Rabbit Hall, too, but I am getting super confused about the dates for the wedding storyline. I will have to go back and reread. :)

  6. Cody and the Mysteries of the Universe looks adorable! I need to find an easy to read YA or exciting looking MG book for my mom's summer classroom giveaway (she teaches math, but the kids like books, too), and that might fit the ticket. I gave her The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani to give away last year, and everyone wanted it.
I'm reading the Idaho Driver's Manual. It's very dry so far and riddled with typos, but hey- it should be accurate for whenever I take my test. ;) I'm in a bit of a slump leisure reading wise, but I hope picking up one of my favorite authors' books will help me get out of it. The only trouble is: which one to pick up???

    1. That is something I have never triued although it has been suggested many mnant times. I think I might try reading an old favorite next time I am in a slump. I really need to save my pennies and buy the Harry Potter audiobooks. That would probably help immensely. Yes to the Cody book. It reminded me of the way older Children's chapter/MG books were written back in the day.

  7. Ooh, I really want to read Down With The Shine! I mean, along with 394839 other books. My TBR has reached catastrophically high proportions now omg. 😂 In order to cope I've been re-reading. ArGHRGUGH. I can't even with my head at the moment. ahem. ;D
So I just finished The Winner's Kiss <333 Which was perfect and I'm currently not sure whether to read The Orphan Queen next or Lady Midnight. DECISIONS DECISIONS.

    1. Since I now know that The Orphan Queen books are a nice compact duology, I am thinking about reading them, too. I used to complain about series being duologies, but now I love them. So many trilogies have middle books with too much filler fluff. :)

  8. Black Rabbit Hall sounds interesting - because I loved the Thirteenth Tale. But if the storyline's a bit meh, I dunno...
I'm glad you're making progress for ARC April! Good luck getting these next two read - hope they're good ones!
I think I'm going to start the Forbidden Wish next. It looks pretty good.. TBR decisions are hard!

    1. Black Rabbit Hall has me so confused. I thought the backstory was in the 1930s and the other storyline was in the late 60s, but they have cell phones, so it must be modern day, soooooooooo confused! I have seen Forbidden Wish around a lot, I hope you like it!

  9. Wait. Is today Wednesday?! What the heck. I totally spaced TMT this week. NOOOOOO!!!!! Next week, I guess. :/ Anyways, I had to look up what "buss" was because at first I read it as "bust" and then thought maybe they meant "bus". Anyways, a kiss was not what I was expecting. LOL

    1. I had to look it up, too! Ha ha. I thought it was going to be some sort of ticket to something, or an invitation. That's okay, I thought it was Friday on Wednesday. :P

  10. Good luck on ARC April! I'm also participating and was able to finish one last week. I've read another one for this week already and hope to finish one more! I'm actually kind of reading two ARCs right now, Any Other Girl and Bookishly Ever After, so we'll see which one I finish this week!

    1. I usually have two books going at a time, too. I am very much a mood reader. Yay for ARC April! One ARC is one ARC which is a step in the right direction, so that's a win to me. :)
