TELL ME TUESDAY #92

TELL ME TUESDAY is a floating feature depending on your reading style, where you tell us what you read last, what you are reading now, what you will be reading in the future from your tbr pile, and why. I am oh so curious why people read what they read. So tell me!
Joining us this week...
Shannon from REX ROBOT REVIEWS
Go have a peek at their newest grabs and tell them yours!

This is my third week of ARC April and the reason this TMT is so late is that I just finished my one and only book for this week. Which is better than last week because I had zero for week two. My grand total is three measly ARCs.
LAST
I both loved and hated this book. You have to give it your undivided attention because her writing style can be confusing. I ended up giving it four stars, but it is teetering towards 3.5 stars, which is still solidly good in my book.
NOW
I was going to read A Buss from Lafayette, but I had an excerpt on my Middle Grade blog today for its blog tour and, well, ugh.
NEXT
I squishy love this cover! The synopsis is wonderful, so you should click that Goodreads link and read it. This title will count towards my Diversity Challenge totals.
The is the last week of ARC April, so I am going to try and squeeze in another ARC.

What are you reading? Tell me!

  1. Best of luck with your ARC reading! I've totally and massively failed at ARC April because I haven't yet finished an ARC!! *sigh* And I'm not sure I'll be able to this week, I have so many things to do and prepare for my trip... GAH!

  2. How did you like Down with the Shine? I'm curious about that one. It Ain't So Awful, Falafel looks super cute!! I think you're doing great! Any bit of reading counts :)

    1. I started Down With the Shine last night. It is different. Ha ha. A lot of swearing. I am hoping the beginning is setting the story up for a huge change or growth ARC. :D

  3. Down with the shine looks so good. I hardly know what it's about but who cares because the cover! lol. Sorry to hear Black Rabbit Hall was a little frustrating. I'm not actually reading anything at the moment, I'm kinda torn between books. Can't decide, so not reading anything ha ha. Maybe tomorrow. :)

    1. It is best to wait and read when you feel it. I hate trying to make myself read and then not enjoying it to the fullest. I really enjoyed Black Rabbit Hall as a whole, but I would get it from the library, or wait for a sale. :)

  4. So much love for It Ain't So Love Falafel. I know nothing about the book itself but the cover is adorable and I love the title. I'm glad you enjoyed Black Rabbit Hall overall. It was a 4 star read for me as well as I enjoyed it more than I was annoyed by the flaws! 3 ARCs done is more than you had before so still a win even if not quite as many as you wanted!

  5. Eeep, good luck with these! I looove that cover of Wishing Day. 😍 I am, probably very unsurprisingly, reading The Raven King. WELL. Listening to the audio. It's a bit frustrating, because if it was a physical book I would've FINISHED BY NOW *sobs* But alas my copy is still like 2 weeks away so I'm making do with an audible freebie. ;D

    1. The Raven King! *one thousand heart eyes* I would have used an Audible credit, too!

  6. I've been slowly reading, so I'm reading the same books as last week- Mad Ship by Robin Hobb and The Sword Dancer by Jeannie Lin. I'm glad you're making better progress on your reads (at least compared to me!). I kind of like books where I don't have to pay too much attention, because I'm a frequent daydreamer.

    1. I know that stories like Black Rabbit Hall can be written in a smooth reading way because I had no problem with The Thirteenth Tale and its storyline was more complicated that BRH. I really want to read those sentient ship books. :)

    1. I know! Covers are so important to get readers to look at the synopsis. :)
