THIS WEEK
TELL ME TUESDAY was the beginning of my week as usual.
And I did my own take on TOP TEN TUESDAY..
.
I can't handle looking up an linking ten titles.
She was a stray that had a kitten under the downstairs neighbor's back porch, so we brought them inside. That was ten years ago and we had no idea how old she was at that time. Plus, she had some heart issues according to the vet, when we asked why she seemed to tire out so easily. She was unresponsive for hours and I laid on my son's bed with her listening to my Oz audiobooks. My son was out of town with his friends, but she hung on until he got home and got one last cuddle from him. She was very much his cat exclusively, usually glued to his lap, or trotting along beside him. She will be leaving a big hole in his life.
Speaking of my son... he started his job search on Thursday. We have a lot of upscale restaurants here and every single one gave him an application. Saturday he went to the mall and hit all the stores, except for Hot Topics, he said he would rather be seen working at at McDonalds. Ha! HE IS ALSO APPLYING TO BARNES AND NOBLE ON MONDAY!!!

AROUND THE NET
You can read the first chapter of Harper Lee's GO SET A WATCHMAN, HERE.
FAYE from THE SOCIAL POTATO posted a video on her vlog about LOVE TRIANGLES. I loved it. WARNING: colorful language abounds, ha ha. You can watch that video, HERE.

STAY COOL!
Have a wonderful week.
Love the cat, it's nice t ocome by every week and see what you come up with! Sorry to hear about your cat, that's so hard.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead. :)
I love Pusheen! I will have to start using gifs of her friends when I run out of new ones. Although, I think the artist makes a few new ones now and then.
DeleteSo sorry to hear about your cat. I'm glad everyone got a final cuddle! x
ReplyDeleteShe definitely knew he was there because she hadn't moved her head for hours, even when I spoke to her, but the minute he came in the room and spoke she looked up. <3
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Lucy. I always feel when they leave, they would like us to bring another into our home as a rescue to benefit from the loving home they have left; almost as if they leve us to make room for someone else who needs us now.
ReplyDeleteIt usually also keeps me from losing myself in my sorrow.
Good luck to your son in his job hunt.
Thanks, we will definitely be checking in on our shelters in a couple of months, or so.
DeleteSo sorry to hear about Lucy... the furry family members always leave such a huge gap when they leave us... glad that had 10 wonderful years with you guys!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to Sebastian on his job search!!
Thanks, Pili. I hope he get's the job at B&N, for obvious reasons. :)
DeleteI am sorry to hear about Lucy. I have dealt with the death of pet in my own family and my friends. It is never easy.

Second Run Reviews
Thanks, I appreciate your kind thoughts. :)
DeleteSo sorry to hear about your kitty. :( It is never easy to lose a pet.
ReplyDeleteI feel so bad for Sebastian. He was lost and moping around all day today, and our other cat (Lucy's daughter) isn't eating. :/
DeleteSorry about your cat, they are such a huge part of the family.
ReplyDeleteI love your Pusheen pics, that is one cool cat!
Have a good week and fingers crossed on the B & N job for your son!
Heather @ Random Redheaded Ramblings
Thanks, I know the restaurant jobs would pay better with tips, but B&N employee discount, priceless :).
DeleteI'm sorry about Lucy, pet deaths are always hard. But it sounds like she found a great home with you guys and lead a full life.
ReplyDeleteI love little Pusheen, such a cute little cartoon. I wish your son all the best on his job search! The job market seems to be a little bit better since I tried finding stuff a few years ago (like 2) .
Thanks. Restaurants are a big deal around here, and most of the college students go home for the summer, so I hope he can get his foot in the door.
DeleteAw, I'm sorry about your cat. That is the saddest thing of ever. :( I've had the family dog die (he was like 19!!!) and it really hit me hard. *cuddles my puppy fiercely* I LOVE PETS THEY ARE LIFE'S GREATEST THING.
ReplyDeleteAwk. I'm excited and worried about Go Set A Watchman. I feel like I need to reread TKAM before it though. Because it's been YEARS since I read it. *glares at massive TBR* I CAN RISK IT.
There is so much new fishiness around the book now with the lawyer saying there are even more books to publish from Lee that he found. I don't even think I am going to read it.
DeleteLOVE THE COFFEE MUG GIF! Seriously, that was what I felt like when I was hunting for coffee on the mean streets of Honolulu. I'm such a fiend! Sorry to hear about your cat's passing. It's so hard when a pet dies. They're like a member of the family.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I can't live without my coffee either. We have flooded in my area a couple of times in the last few years, and we have an emergency backpack for each of us because last time we were only two blocks from the evacuation area. I put a jar of freeze dried coffee and a container of powdered creamer in mine. LOL.
DeleteI feel so bad I got to this post so late - I am SO sorry to hear about your cat! I'm glad that her last moments with you guys were special and that she got to see your son before she passed. Pets are really special, and losing one is like losing a family member in a way.
ReplyDeleteBut on a happier note, I hope your son's job search went well! (Since I'm getting to all your posts like 3 weeks late haha)
I have decided he has the canniff curse because he gets down to the last two people up for the job and the other person always gets it. LOL. Anyway,m he has decided to work with his friends a The Spirit Shop from two weeks from now until two weeks after Halloween, and in the meantime apply for Christmas hours at the mall and apply for regular jobs, too. I hope he is so confused and knakered by fall 2017 that he runs back to college!
