ARC APRIL CHALLENGE 2016

SURPRISE! If you follow RSR you may have seen or heard about ARC August. A month long challenge where you tackle that giant pile of ARCs you have. But, ARC April, though the same concept, is a first for us and I’m really excited about all of the positive feedback we’ve received thus far in regards to the event. Interested in hearing more?  View the details: HERE.

I participated in ARC AUGUST a year and a half ago and had a blast! I was going to participate again last year, but had just completed a self-motivated ARC reading push because my Edelweiss account was a confusing mess and my Netgalley ratio had gone down to a pathetic 68%. When August rolled around I only had one ARC on my TBR pile. But not this time! I am suffering an ARCpocalypse! And I need HELP!

I am going to try for a silver level which is 5-9 ARCs.

BACK LIST FEBRUARY

No so bad. I read about eight novels a month anyway. I do have quite a few cookbooks and picture books, also, but I know I can do this. In fact, I am going to add an ARC for July that I am dying to read as incentive to maybe pop me over into the GOLD category...
THIS SAVAGE SONG
Monsters Of Verity #1

How many books are you planning on reading? You will be seeing me around because I love to cheer people on.

  1. That seems like a good size for a list! I hope it goes well! But oh gosh, I want to read This Savage Song so badly!
I'm aiming to read the five ARCs I've got at the moment... But I'll probably end up requesting others so if I have the time I might read more. So excited for this though! Glad to see you're taking part!

    1. There was a lot of cheerleading going on all around, so it is such a good thing! In fact during the last one I went around cheerleading even though I wasn't taking part, ha ha. Good luck wuth your goal. :)

  2. What an awesome compilation of books! From your list, I'm DYING to read This Savage Song the most. I actually started reading it to see how it was, and even though I only got through a few pages, it was already amazing. I can't wait to get back to it, and I hope you do great on your ARC April this month!

    1. Ahh... don't you hate it when you sneak a peek at a book and then want to read the entire thing?! I knew I would do that with Ths Savage Song, so I was good to myself and didn't peek. You were very brave to do that. :)

    1. Thanks! This will also help with my Goodreads challenge totals because I am seven books behind. I am not too worried though because I was eleven books behind at one point last year and still made it. :)

  5. ARCpocalypse... oh my- that's funny. I only have one ARC 'til I'm back to my golden score of 100% on NetGalley- I've just been indulging in older books (and buying lots of them). Good luck with your challenge!

    1. Thanks! I have managed to keep July and August pretty clear, so that I can get some personal reading done. My Netgalkey is 90% right now. Since that clear out a year and a half ago I have managed to keep it above 86%! :)

  6. I've decided I'm going to read 6 ARCs this month to get a bunch out of the way. The problem is that I've been a little bit stunted since the beginning of the month. Here's to hoping I get my momentum back!

    1. You can do it! Just striving to do it is a win because to me even one ARC is being productive. :)

  7. Hello challenge mate! haha ARCpocalypse! good one! omg La La all those ARCs covers look dreamy! I think I requested Down with Shine. This Savage Song MUST be good. I just finished two of my 24 pending ARCs. Not sure if it qualifies as ARCpocalyptic but seems pretty daunting to me :) Good luck with the challenge
