THE SUNDAY POST #27

SUNDAY POST is a weekly feature hosted by Kimba at the Caffinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to recap the previous week, share news, showcase books and/or bookish things we have received, and tell about what is coming up on our blog in the next week. You can view the guidelines, HERE.

THIS LAST WEEK
MONDAY REVIEW
This was a 4.5 star review.
It got me out of my reading slump!

TELL ME TUESDAY
Where I explained what put me back in a slump.

Cait from PAPER FURY tagged me for THE BEDTIME BOOK TAG.
THESE BLOGGERS HAVE BEEN TAGGED
Shannon from REX ROBOT REVIEWS (I told you you would be sorry, hehe)
Pili from IN LOVE WITH HANDMADE
Elizabeth from SO LONG AND THANKS FOR ALL THE FISH
Katherine from I WISH I LIVED IN A LIBRARY
Michelle from IN LIBRIS VERITAS

Five finished series I have yet to finish.

SATURDAY
I was supposed to have my BLOGVERSARY CELEBRATION post, but on Thursday evening I fell victim to the plague and by Friday I was suffering from sore throat, chest cough, and plugged ears. There were tons of links to add and the Rafflecopters to assemble, so... nope, nopey, nope, nope. I will tell you that the two giveaways will be a $20 Book Depository or Amazon gift card INTERNATIONAL, and a US only gift pack of my favorite reading tea, my two favorite organic snacks, and one of the plain silk ribbon bookmarks I use all the time + assorted swag. It will be posted next Saturday.

AROUND THE WEB
I linked up with Kimba's HO-HO-HO Read-a-Thon. I have never ever read a holiday book, and I might only get one read, but it should be fun!

Aimee from Deadly Darlings posted the results to her bookish school project and you can view them, HERE.

THIS NEXT WEEK
TELL ME TUESDAY
TOP FIVE FRIDAY
SOMETIMES SATURDAY - Blogversary celebration.
Have a groovy week!

  1. Sorry to hear you got sick. I tend to get sick around the change of seasons and got sick at the beginning and end of winter (which just finished here in Australia).

    Hope you're feeling better.

    1. Thanks, it is Tuesday and I am feeling a bit better. I can usually link back all of my illnesses to grocery shopping. I always forget to use the wipes on the cart handles and hand sanitizer. :),

  3. Ick what a week! I'm sorry to hear you've been sick. I had something similar the week before (though thankfully minus the plugged ears) and it took forever to be feeling better. I still have the cough that scares small children though. Yay on the tag! I'm woefully behind on my blog reading but I saw that post in my feed and was intrigued. I'll be checking it out soon. Hope you feel better soon and no more reading slumps!

    1. Everyone who has had this has said their cough has hung around forever. I is weird that a bunch of us have had it. It is like a cyber virus, ha ha, I hope you have fun doing the tag, and no rush! :)

  8. Yuck. Sorry the bug got you already. I'm getting my flu shot again this year even though the last one didn't keep me out of the hospital and in bad all Christmas week. Hope you shake it off quickly and feel better so you can do your celebration. Happy Blogoversary!

    1. I didn't get a flu shot last year and I swore I would never miss it again. It seemed like I had the never ending flu. I didn't have to go to the hospital though. Good grief!

  9. Oh no the plague! Agh! Ring Around the Rosey, was a song about the plague from what I understand. People thought keeping flowers on your person would protect them. Hope you survive!!

    1. I knew about the Ring Around the Rosie rhyme being about the plague, but I did not know about the flowers belief. Crazy! :)

  11. Aw, I hope you get better soon. :( I HAVE THE PLAGUE TOO. IT SUCKS. I've had this stupid cough of weeeeeks and it just suddenly decided it was going to go catastrophic and add in a new cold on top and blah. I've spent most of the day on my bed being a miserable hermit. SO I HOPE YOU RECOVER SOON TOO!!
