I was tagged for this post by Cait from PAPER FURY! Go have a look-see at her tag post because it gave me the giggles, well actually... the guffaws. It gave me the guffaws.
1. A BOOK THAT KEPT ME UP ALL NIGHT.
There have been plenty of books that have kept me up all night with their delectable storylines, but OF BREAKABLE THINGS sets itself apart because I had been in a deep dark reading slump and not only did it get me actively reading again, I truthfully could not close it until I was finished. It is a YA Paranormal about spirits. I say spirits because they don't like being called ghosts. You can read my review, HERE. As an ebook it is only $3.03. The sequel OF DELICATE PIECES comes out October 20th.
2. A BOOK THAT MADE ME SCARED TO SLEEP.
The friend who gave me her paperback of THE EXORCIST to read had a toddler and a newborn, and every time they made a weird noise (which toddlers and newborns do quite often) she thought they were becoming possessed. Hehe.
3. A BOOK THAT MADE ME GO TO SLEEP.
BUT IN A GOOD WAY!
I have the audiobook of BROWN GIRL DREAMING, narrated by the author. Her voice was so soothing, the first night I listened to it, she lulled me to sleep.
I thought this sleepy puppy would be a good palate cleanser after the demonic GIF. You are welcome.
4. A BOOK THAT LEFT ME TOSSING AND TURNING THE NIGHT BEFORE IN ANTICIPATION OF ITS RELEASE...
The last four of the Harry Potter books (the first three were already published when we started reading them). We went to all four of the Barnes and Noble midnight release parties, although for the last book we never got inside because of the crowds, but we reveled with everyone outside in the parking lot until midnight. We (my son, my nephew, and myself) then went to our favorite all night grocery store to buy it from their fairly large book section.
One can never see this GIF too many times!
5. BOOKS THAT HAVE MY DREAM "SHIP" BETWEEN TWO DIFFERENT STORIES..
DAISY & BARTHOLOMEW
I've been shipping these guys since the 1960s.
All right?
6. A BOOK THAT WOULD BE MY WORST NIGHTMARE TO LIVE IN.
7. A BOOK THAT REMINDS ME OF NIGHT TIME.
Vampires = night time. Ha!
8. A BOOK THAT HAD A NIGHTMARISH CLIFFHANGER.
Why did you make me put up an image of Morpheus?
I'm now UNHINGED!
9. A BOOK I ACTUALLY DREAMED ABOUT.
Well... an entire wizardiing world actually.
Most of those dreams involve mayhem with Fred and George.
10. A BOOK MONSTER I WOULD NOT WANT TO FIND UNDER MY BED.
Ha ha ha ha... but seriously...
Pennywise the Dancing Clown from IT by Stephen King.
SWEET DREAMS

Thanks for tagging me!! I'm going to bookmark this so I can do it and fit it in somewhere in the next month or so. *shudders at It* I freaking hate clowns...like I'm still trying to understand why it's an actual profession. I know someone out there gets happy when they see one...but I fail to see how a clown doesn't invoke immediate distrust, lol.
ReplyDeleteYay, I am happy you haven't already done this one! I don't mind clowns when they don't have razor sharp teeth. Ha ha.
DeleteAhhhh!!! I'M SO GLAD YOU DID IT. :D I probably wouldn't want to find Morpheus under my bed either. >_> Okay, tbh, I wouldn't want to find ANYTHING under my bed. Not. any. single. thing. ALTHOUGH I DO SO LOVE MORPHEUS. (Definitely nightmarish cliffhanger!!) Also that Dumbledore dancing gif is totally perfect and can never be seen enough. AND OMG. Don't tempt me about Of Breakable Things like that!! It's so cheap. Omg, I need to read that so bad...*wanders off to amazon just to see*
ReplyDeleteMy undying displeasure with Morpheus is because he reminds me of my EX HUSBAND! Even down to being obsessed with clothing. And his little flock of fairies were like my ex's bevy of groupies. Grrrrrr. Anytime he did anything for anyone there was always at least a morsel of benefit in it for himself; just like Morph. Ugh. Ha ha!
DeleteHmmmm, I really need to do this tag! Maybe tomorrow after I've got some sleep and rest and my brain works better!
ReplyDeleteThat sleepy doggie GIF is the cutest thing everrrrr!!
I want a puppy, well actually any age dog, so badly! Hopefully soon. Are you still thinking about getting one? I am glad you haven't done this tag yet. :)
DeleteFound your blog and this post via Katherine's post ... love it, what fun! Might have to play next week ... *shudder* clowns creep me out, all clowns, not just one's with teeth and that pug is just the cutest!!
