TELL ME TUESDAY is a floating feature, depending on your reading style, where you tell us what you read last, what you are reading now, what you will be reading next from your tbr pile, and why. I am curious why people read what they read, so tell me!

Joining us this week...
Michelle from IN LIBRIS VERITAS

Stop by and have a look at their latest grabs and tell them yours!

So, last week's TMT was my 200th! It was also my May reading wrap-up and the post was already crammed full, so I decided to wait until today to celebrate with a GIVEAWAY. This was my first TMT post...
Don't you love how newbie bloggers over explain things. Ha ha. I don't do that reading method anymore. I most times have one ARC going, but now I don't usually read more than two books at a time. I had different work then, where I wasn't reading a lot for my job, so I read more at home.
It was four years almost to the day, so with 200 posts it means I only missed doing a TMT eight times, that's pretty good, if I must say so myself. I went through a serious blogging slump a couple of years ago and the only thing that kept my toes in the water was having to post a TMT every week because I had other bloggers posting the feature. They were my angels because I probably would have quit.

This was the ARC I was reading at that time: ISHMAEL'S ORANGES. I never finished it... I think maybe I am in more of a mood to read it now. I was too deep into YA Fantasy/Dystopian/Paranormal four years ago.
If you want to join Tell Me Tuesday it's a free floating feature you can post whenever you want. Just let me know via Twitter DM or by email lalainthelibrary(at)gmail(dot)com, the day before, and I'll add you to my post, tweet your post, post your link on my bookish Facebook page, and G+ you if you have that button. If I ever get ten regular posters I'll get a linky! I will also visit and comment on your blog.

This book was delicious Adult Historical Fantasy! It read like velvet and has Feminist elements that won't punch you in the face. There are dream Fae in the story called Dearlies.

ADULT FICTION
STANDALONE
SUSPENSE - MYSTERY - THRILLER
Publishes June 19th - Netgalley
This is my current review ARC. I know it's way out of my comfort zone, but it had several elements in it which personally intrigued me, however, the writing isn't all that wonderful. It's all tell and no show. It is definitely a page turner, but only because of the shocking content, not because of skillful storytelling.

HOSTED BY:
BOOKS THAT GIVE ME THE TRAVEL BUG

I was just telling Annemieke from A DANCE WITH BOOKS that every June I get this New York City wanderlust because when I was a teenager, the minute school let out for the summer there was a group of us that headed down almost immediately and wandered back and forth between my city (about three hours away by bus) and NYC, spending as much time there as we could. The novelty usually wore off by mid July between the heat, getting tired of sleeping on people's floors, and being broke. Even the lowbrow life in NYC empties your pockets. Heh heh. I was telling her that I had collected some books about NYC in the '70s and '80s and some about Punk rockers and the Punk scene, which was one of my favorite things, and intended to read some of them over the next few weeks. I am sure they will make me want to hop on the bus and ride down!
