THE SUNDAY SYNOPSIS #137

NUMBER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-SEVEN

THE SUNDAY SYNOPSIS

COVER CONVERSATIONS

Only one post last week. It was the only way I could practice my instrument and catch up on my blog visiting and commenting. I am still not completely caught up, but at least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I also cut out visiting two blogs who rarely replied to their blog post comments and never visited here in The Library.
Our friend Greg from BOOK HAVEN has been hospitalized for a week now and had surgery on Friday, so make sure you stop over on his blog, or on Twitter, and wish him well.
Also mentioning again that I have an Instagram account now, so leave your username in the comments and I will follow you. My username is @LaLaCanifshewants2.

My new guitar arrived. It isn't as light as expected, but It is pretty and plays like butter, so I am happy. Her name is Wren because the headstock looks like a little bird's tail. The photo is crappy because Baz Manchild forgot to put the memory card back in the camera and I had to use the Kindle camera. Ugh. I should have a nice one for next week.
She looks purple in the photo but the color is a satin finish dark, almost black, cherry red. It's a Dean Vendetta. I worked on my pick technique all week doing monotonous alternate picking drills for hours and I can proudly say, not too shabby. Oh, and Danielle, Phinn has his Halloween pants on.
💀
331EROCK, my tabs/lessons guy, was supposed to have uploaded a Stranger Things medley (as per dictated by his Twitter poll) on Friday, but zilch happened, so here is his last year's offering of the Stranger Things Theme Meets Metal...
⚫
Some more photos of campus before the severe wind storm we are getting today blows the beautiful leaves off the trees. The last one is the on site nature preserve.

WHAT I AM LOVING
I borrowed this idea from Kristen at MOONLIGHT AND METAPHORS.
And so far lemon only because the texture was weird with the strawberry. This flavor was okay because it was more like lemon curd, or lemon custard (like in a pie). it would make fantastic layer cake filling. I wish I had bought more than one of this flavor. Baz had several different flavors and loved them all. The containers are glass and make cute little votive candle holders, or dipping dishes.

CURRENTLY READING
I love the FOR YOU screen on my new 10" Kindle Fire tablet. Right underneath the books I am reading are the last seven apps used. However, I could do without the recommendations on the bottom, especially when they are game apps, ha ha.

BOUGHT EBOOKS
GOODREADS
I usually don't list cookbooks I buy, but I have wanted this one forever. It was $1.99, but it is full price now.

GOODREADS
This is still $1.99 at the moment.

GOODREADS
It is 99¢ at the time of this posting.

GOODREADS
I have wanted to read the Gomenghast books since watching the mini-series on PBS. I was overjoyed to see the first one on sale for $1.99! It is still on sale right now if you want to grab it.

BOUGHT BARNES AND NOBLE
GOODREADS
This technically isn't mine. Baz and I are doing a buddy read for my Vonnegut read-a-thon in November. He doesn't like ebooks, so as part of the deal he got to pick the book and I had to buy it for him. The ebook was on sale for $1.99 and this mass market paperback of only 215 pages was $8.00!
