FEBRUARY READING WRAP-UP
TIDBITS

TELL ME TUESDAY is a floating feature, depending on your reading style, where you tell us what you read last, what you are reading now, what you will be reading next from your tbr pile, and why. I am curious why people read what they read, so tell me!

ADULT FICTION
WAYFARERS SERIES ONE
SCIENCE FICTION
FOUND FAMILY
Published 2014 - Own Ebook
I finished my buddy re-read of this with Greg from Book Haven, and Liis from Cover to Cover. Greg's mother hasn't been well, so he's catching up and we are still having discussions.

MY GOODREADS THOUGHTS

ADULT FICTION
SERIES ONE
FANTASY
Published February 2022 - Libby Borrow
I was not sure how I was going to like this book after I read its so-called Sci-Fi counterpart, A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers, because I loathed the Chambers book, but this one is delightful. It has a simple, yet interesting, storyline so it's not one of those new trendy "no plot, all vibes" books, and although there is basically zero world-building the characters are so charming it really doesn't matter. I couldn't read a steady diet of this type of book, but it was a great palate cleanser after the emotional rollercoaster ride of the book I finished right before it. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel. I wish they would make a video game based on this story.

WITCHES - VAMPIRES
GROWING UP
Published September 2022 - Libby Borrow
A charming Middle Grade graphic novel with a heartwarming message about body changes, and the fears and excitement that accompany growing up; from an enchanted vegetable's point of view. The colorful illustrations are wonderful.

WITCHES - INK MAGIC
Published 2017 - Libby Borrow
I love and adore this manga series so far! The interior illustrations are terrific, too. Sometimes I'm drawn (pun was not intended, ha ha) to a sequential art book and the interior art does not reflect the quality of the cover art. I haven't read much manga, or that many graphic novels, but I'm pretty sure this illustrator is my favorite! It's one of those books that straddles MG and YA. Older MG readers will love it, and younger YA readers will, too.

I am going to be buddy re-reading this with Liis from Cover to Cover for Women's History Month. I'm excited! I even purchased a used hardcover to annotate as we read. Some of you know I collect different editions of Jane Eyre and I just saw the above cover art today... I think I need it!

ORDER GIRL SCOUT COOKIES FROM NYC'S HOMELESS SHELTERS TROOP
If you don't have a special girl scout you support, please consider ordering online from New York City's Troop 6000. The troop's members all live in homeless shelters. The scout I usually order from comes from an affluent community, so I decided to order from Troop 6000 this year. I was surprised to see that their cookies were one dollar cheaper and the shipping and handling was two dollars cheaper than on my usual girl's website.
