THE SUNDAY POST #41

THE SUNDAY POST is a weekly wrap-up feature hosted by Kimba at the Caffinated Book Reviewer

It is a chance to recap the previous week, share news, showcase books and/or bookish things we have received, and tell about what is coming up on our blog in the next week. You can view the guidelines, HERE.

I tell you about how much I adored THE NIGHT PARADE, what my first read of 2016 was, my buddy read with Pili, and my current ARC.

On Wednesday...

Plans for 2016

My five 2016 blogging resolutions.

I also spruced up my Middle Grade blog...
I also realized that I am going to have to draw my own masthead image for my Children's book blog because I cannot find anything I like.

My son's Halloween pop-up store job was over around the 15th of November. He was supposed to start looking for a Christmas season job, but his hours were so crazy at Spirit, that he didn't have time until it was too late. He did start right away on the Monday after New Years putting in applications, and Friday he was given employment at a discount store, Big Lots, unloading trucks and stocking shelves. I am happy he has been getting hard labor jobs because this will guarantee he will be heading back to college this fall!

This is a 99¢ ebook today. It was in my top five books for 2016. It's a standalone retelling of The Goose Girl, and I fell madly in love with it!
Also a 99¢ book today. If you want to start reading the Discworld series, this is where you start. I bought it because I want to do a reread and I cannot find my paperback.

I bought a couple of other $1.99 steals, but they were already gone. If you don't get the Book Bub daily email, you should, because a lot of the fabulous books, like the Ness I bought, are only on sale for one day.

A friend of mine posted this to Facebook and it gave me a chuckle.

J.K. Rowling tweeted about this author who had numerous fake accounts to promote and review his books, and how he is cyber stalking two other authors who called him out on it: HERE..

TELL ME TUESDAY
TOP FIVE FRIDAY
SATURDAY STACKING THE SHELVES
There may be a new feature...
I will be reviewing books that made me angry, and not in a good way. It will depend on if I have a chance to get one done.
Have a fabulous week!

  3. Happy Sunday! I like your resolutions, good luck with 'em. I didn't really do any as I never stick to them anyway, but it's fun to see what everyone else is doing. Love the books rewritten for teenagers, that's funny. :)

I'm looking forward to Rant Reviews... :)

  4. Thorn has such an amazing cover! I get all the book deal emails...but avoid the hell out of them, lol. I try not to buy books if I can so to avoid temptation I usually end up deleting them without opening them. I'm glad he found another job! I'm about to try out the job searching again. I've never had luck with it, all the jobs I've had (but one very short lived on) were based on recommendations from people I knew or I just made one because I got tired of being unemployed. :P I hope you have an awesome week La La!

    1. Thanks, Michelle. Both of the jobs he has gotten he has been recommended by his friends who work there. I am glad he has ambitious friends who work while at university! Something I have never made him do. Ha ha! I wish you luck with your job search. I hope you have as good luck as he did. :)
