TELL ME TUESDAY is a feature that oozed from my post Twitter party fried brains. It is a floating feature (depending on your reading style), where you tell us what you are reading now, and why, and what you will be reading in the future from your tbr pile, and why. I am oh so curious why people read what they read. So tell me!

This TMT is going to be short and sweet because Blogger is acting up and everything is taking forever!
I started reading THE GOBLIN'S PUZZLE last week because it releases today, but I couldn't get into it. I hope I have more luck with it this week after I finish...
THE CAT WHO CAME IN OFF THE ROOF. It also pubs today and I am over 50% done, so I will be finished tonight. It is a cute story, but seeing that 99% of the story is about the adults, I don't think it is going to hold the attention of the Middle Grade crowd, and it is too easy for YA.

That's too bad about The Cat Who Came In Off The Roof. It sounds like it's having a bit of an identity crisis. I love the cover of The Goblin's Puzzle and hopefully it will click with you and you'll enjoy it. I'm reading a contemporary romance that comes out in a couple of weeks and The Princess Diaries which I'm actually really enjoying. I don't read much YA so this is definitely new to me but I love Cabot's style in this.
ReplyDeleteA lot of Middle Grade has been having an identity problem lately, but it us usually in the YA,side not adult Paranormal, ha ha! I do read a lot f YA, but I have figured out that the ones I really love tend to read more like Adult Fiction. Thanks for the visit, Katherine. :)
DeleteOh, so sad you didn't enjoy The Goblin's Puzzle, I'm not a big fan of middle grade books but some of them look amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading The Epidemic by Suzanne Young, it's really good so far!
I got hooked on Middle Grade when my son was reading it. I think it makes me feel young again. Ha ha. Thanks for dropping in, Lis. :)
DeleteThat's kind of confusing about The Cat Who Came Off the Roof...like kids don't generally want to read about adults, right?! (I didn't really. o.O When I was a small fish.) XD I love that cover for the Goblin's Puzzle! DRAGON. <3
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't get it either. There is a little girl who skips in and out of the story, and a lot of flat character cats, but they all interact with the adults while the adults are adulting. Strange. Thanks for riding your dragon over, Cait. :)
DeleteCan I just say you are so good at keeping on the publishing dates? I'm TERRIBLE! LoL
ReplyDeleteI used to be terrible, but I made a resolution to do a page in my notebook app for pub dates. I have one for past the pub date, too. Hehe. :)
