TELL ME TUESDAY #29

TELL ME TUESDAY is a feature that oozed from the fried brains of myself and my best blogging buddy, after a mind twisting Armchair BEA Twitter party.  It is a weekly, or bi-weekly feature (depending on your reading style), where you tell us what you are reading now, and why, and what you will be reading in the future from your tbr pile, and why. I am oh so curious why people read what they read. So tell us!!

My faithful feature follower is Pili from IN LOVE with HANDMADE, so make sure to visit and tell her, too!

I finished reading Compulsion by Martina Boone in the wee hours of the morning today. The ending was action packed and I could not put it down.

But now I am in a quandry. I have The Raven Boys coming from Amanda at Of Spectacles and Books, to read for a guest review; it is supposed to be here today, but you know USPS. Therefore I don't know whether to start reading another book or wait. I guess I could read a children's chapter book. If you would like to receive a book from Amanda in return for a guest review, run on over and send her an email to see what novels she has left.

UPDATE: My beautiful hardcover copy of The Raven Boys arrived (and it matches the HC of Blue Lily, Lily Blue I won perfectly, now to see if I can trade someething for an HC of The Dream Theives) from Amanda, and I am going to start reading it straight away!

After reading The Raven Boys I am hoping to read one of my top four most anticipated in 2014, THE INVASION OF THE TEARLING!!!! I found out on The Eater of Books - Stacking the Shelves post, that the sequel to Queen of the Tearling was up on Edelweiss. I had been checking EW everyday after the cover was released on Goodreads, and it figures I would take a break THE DAY BEFORE IT WENT UP!!!!

I lost five days... so I groveled in the special comments on the request form. *sigh*

Yes, I begged...

What  books are you excited for in 2015?

  1. I requested it on Edelweiss but I'm not sure I'll be approved for it at all... but I'm really enjoying Queen of the Tearling for now!

  2. I hope you get approved! I can't wait to hear what you think when you finish reading QotT. That whole preferred country thing is frustrating. I get denied for most of the Childten's books I request because they are usually UK preferred for some reason. :)

    1. Yeah, Cassie is a piece of work. I like Barrie's independent nature... and no love triangle! I have to update because my Raven Boys did come. Media Mail has been 5 for 5 success for the books I have mailed and received. I pay an extra dollar for tracking and it is perfect.

  4. Gah, I am excited for WAY TOO MANY BOOKS this year!! It's looking to be such an epic year...although I did just finish a 2015 debut "Trust Me I'm Lying" and wasn't too impressed sadly. Boo. I'm about to write my review and then I have NO IDEA WHAT TO READ NEXT! Gah! Maybe Thirteen or Soulprint or The Graveyard Book?!!

  5. Ooh I hope you enjoy The Raven Boys! I'm planning on giving that series another go because the first time I tried it it was a DNF for me even though everyone else seems to love it. I'm currently reading Falls the Shadow and To Kill a Mockingbird!

    1. To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite novel of all time and second favorite movie! I am stumped why so many people had a difficult time getting into The Raven Boys. Is it all the geological and physics inclusions? I love that stuff, so maybe that is why I am not finding it hard to get into the story.

    1. Hidamari Sketch is one of my favorite aneme series! My son has three groups of friends, so to keep them sorted I have a name for each of them. I call the group who are always going out to eat and cooking and eating, the Hidamari Gang; coincidence, but this is the group that watches anime, too. Lol. Make sure you let me know when you put up your list of 2015 tbrs. :)

  7. I love Pili, she's a great gal <33 Ooh enjoy The Raven Boys! I read the first book, and liked it. It's a bit different, unique so fair warning. Queen of the Tearling looked great, I hope you get Invasion!

    1. I am really liking The Raven Boys. I like all of the paranormal geological and physics information. I think that is one of the reasons I am liking it so much. Pili is the biggest sweetheart, I agree! I loved Queen of the Tearling and am hoping Invasion is as wonderful. :)
