EXPLANATION WHY THERE WAS NO SYNOPSIS LAST WEEK
My hip went out (dislocated) on Wednesday, a symptom of my EDS, a connective tissue disease I have had since birth. It happened on the way back to the van from the grocery store. This is why I am no longer allowed to leave the house alone. Ha ha. It doesn't happen often, so being dependant on others for something that might only happen once in every 60 times I leave the house is a pain, but I digress. Saturday afternoon I twisted wrong trying to get out of bed and not move my hip too much, and my shoulder fully dislocated (a bit different than a simple luxation which usually pop right back in easily). After that my shoulder was immobilized and using the Kindle for anything more than scrolling and "liking" things on social media was impossible. So, I couldn't finish up my Sunday Synopsis. Then on Monday my other shoulder popped out and I was totally usless. I did listen to my books on text-to-speech, so all was not lost. I kept falling asleep from the pain meds, though. On second thought it was probably a good thing I wasn't able to comment or tweet. Ha ha! I spent Mother's Day packed in ice.

MOTHER'S DAY
Baz went to B&N to get the illustrated Fantastic Beasts for me for Mother's Day, and they didn't have it! *big frowny face* He had to order it. He was going to make me Sn-appletinis with vodka made from corn. *hard side eye* He swears it's smoother than potato vodka. We shall see. But no alcohol allowed with my pain meds so they will have to wait. He also bought my favorite birch beer and made pizza "burgers" (meatless) for dinner because it's a meal my grandmother and I used to have once a week at a local dinner when I was a child. He usually gets my favorite take-out for Mother's Day, but I wanted to change it up this year. I always refuse to go to a restaurant with a Mother's Day crowd, so that is never in the plans, anyway. He also gave me a pile of chocolate.
I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A STELLAR DAY!

Eric my tabs/backing tracks/lessons guy uploaded his metalized version of the Terminator theme on May 12th because, well... May 12, 1984. It was also a nod to Mother's Day because of Sarah Connor. The time signature for this song is an odd 13/16 which I had not realized before. I am going to challenge myself to playing this because I haven't tried anything in that time signature since my Jazz Improv class in college, and that was on keyboards.

We had a little discussion about the time signature in the comments and one of his subscribers left a link to an article about how the composer came to use that strange time signature. If you are a movie soundtrack buff you can read it: HERE.

I love my Sorcerer's Stone 20th anniversary, paperback cover art, Kindle Fire wallpaper.

BOUGHT EBOOKS
I was excited to see this for $2.99 because I was getting ready to pay full price for it. Yes, the first book in this series was that good! It is $2.99 for twelve more days according to Amazon. The first book A LONG WAY TO A SMALL ANGRY PLANET is also $2.99 for twelve more days. Long Way is the only book I have added to my top five of my lifetime in many many years.

BOUGHT AUDIOBOOKS
Audible offered me another 30 day free trial, so I bought the next HP audiobook I needed.

WON GOODREADS
This is about the author's father who was one of the QUIZ KIDS, it was a radio to television show in the '40s and '50s, where gifted kids showed off their brain power. In this Graphic Novel the author follows his father from childhood, through an adult recluse existance, to living with dementia.

I found a book at the dollar store and received a book from a publisher, but I couldn't take photos because of my shoulder. Next week I should be getting two good sized hauls from Book Outlet and Better World Books; and I won a couple of stacks of children's books, two t-shirts, and $35 in Amazon gift cards (which I promptly spent on a soft box light for book photos) from an indie book group Facebook page author takeover. I doubt if I will be mobile enough to take that many photos, but maybe I can get Baz to take a few before he leaves for a NYC weekend next Friday.

I probably won't get anything else posted because I have to catch up with blog hopping and commenting, and I also don't know if my other shoulder will be freed next week. I can't over do things because Baz is going on a three day trip to NYC, to visit friends, and he won't be here to help me. Wish me luck.
Have a  wonderful week!
