COLORING #1 ADULT COLORING BOOKS + GIVEAWAY

ADULT COLORING BOOKS

Adult coloring books have become a big thing. I received my first adult coloring book many years ago as a Christmas gift from a high school friend, during my first year of college. It was a book of snowflakes. My ex bought me several coloring books. My two favorites were celtic knots and classic stained windows. There was a dog breed edition that I absolutely loathed until I got all Andy Warhol and started coloring them in purples, greens and electric blue. I also have given them as gifts, paired with colored pencils. Which is what I am going to do today.
Here are some page examples...

CELTIC KNOT

SNOW FLAKE

STAINED GLASS WINDOW

Many people are doing this for stress relief. I have found it does put your mind in a near meditative space.

You can read the CNN article about adult coloring books for stress relief and see examples of the top sellers, HERE.

These are two of the books I have been wanting...

Now for the giveaway!
I was sent this coloring book by the publisher, and I am going to give it away, along with a package of colored art pencils, to a lucky winner.

  1. My mom always bought coloring books with a lot of flowers and plants in them, which were always really nice. She was also really fond of the celtic knots and geometric shapes as well. I love coloring books I just hate that it's a trend now because they've all gone up in price...

    1. I know! I don't go to Barnes and Noble very often anymore, but I had to pick up a book my son ordered and there was a display in the foyer of adult coloring books. The books I used to get for $5.95 ten years ago, are now $10.95 - $12.95! There is on on Amazon that is cheaper. That is the one I have been giving as a gift, but now that all of my friends and family have that one, I don't know what to do. :)

  2. I have 2 coloring books but haven't really done much with them. We are trying to watch less TV though and this seems like a pretty good substitute!
