MAGICAL THANKSGIVING & WITCHY HARVEST FEAST FOODS
Greetings, my magical mavens! This is a monthly sister blog feature for my popular Facebook page TOADSTONE & BUMBERSHOOT'S WITCHERY COOKERY and MAGICAL LIVING. My followers asked for it, and so it was granted! Jump on your broomstick and fly on over to Facebook and join in on all the fun we have; especially during the fall and winter holidays!
I am always encouraging everyone to seek out the magical places which are just around the corner from where you live! Don't wait to embrace and celebrate the inner witch and wizard in your life, only during Wizarding World trips and fantasy conventions.
The Ex and I spent a lot of time in this cemetery because we used to take black and white photos of memento mori statuary, and close-ups of unique headstone carvings and embellishments to sell at art fairs and music festivals. He even shot his final Filmmaking project for university here. It's a beautiful park-like place. We brought little Baz along on occassion, and we would have picnics, blow bubbles, fly kites, and sometimes kick a soccer ball around out in the open back field. It's only a few blocks from where I live now, and can you believe I've only walked over there twice in seventeen years? There are benches scattered around the cemetery and I used to love to just sit quietly and listen to the rustling leaves and birds chirping; sometimes I would read. It has a marvelous magical energy. It's a perfect place for a witches picnic!

| A NATIVE PLANTS WREATH FOR BIRDS Celebrate the harvest by feeding the birds with a harvest wreath! • Next year I will plan ahead for this and make it a new Thanksgiving tradition. This year, for our Winter Solstice dinner, I am ordering a natural wheat sheaf as a table decoration and then the next morning I will put it outside for the birds. When my son was little we used to make seed ornaments and thread string through orange halves and hang then in trees for the birds on Christmas Day. Maybe I'll start doing that again, too.  |
