This is the read-along selection for the TURTLE RECALL reading challenge this month.
I bought the trilogy in hardcover in the mid '80s from the SciFi and Fantasy Book-of-the-Month club, but DNFed this first one. For some reason I kept them. Ha ha. Anyway, Baz thinks it's a great palate cleanser, and appreciates that it's an extremely easy read during the high stress holiday season at his store. His exact words were, "It's refreshing." Has anyone read this?
