TELL ME TUESDAY is a floating feature, depending on your reading style, where you tell us what you read last, what you are reading now, what you will be reading next from your TBR pile, and why.

I am curious why people read what they read, so tell me!
ONE BOOK A WEEK
I'm still trying to keep my reading down to one book a week, but I'm ten books ahead at this point.

This last book in the series was too short and was rushed, so it didn't have the same depth of character development as the others. The storytelling was still wonderful, though, and it tied all the series threads up nicely. I do hope he decides to write other Oz retellings because I will miss the amazing world he has built. This was my first official title for Witchtember.

I wish authors would stop writing books where the victims burned in Europe and hung in America are fantasy witches. They were real people; people who died being accused of things they didn't do. I'm glad this story was boring and repetitive because I couldn't rate it well even if the writing had been fabulous. This was also a Witchtember title.

The abuse and eating disorder were handled well and provided a knowledgeable representation. This book is not Horror in my personal estimation; it's more of a grotesque Fantasy like many mythology based tales. It was my first Halloween season read.

I have read this graphic novel every October since I first read the ARC in 2018; with the exception of last year when I was reading all Black and Indigenous authors. This will be my fifth time reading it. I'm reading the Collectors Edition this time around with extra content. For some reason Goodreads doesn't have this edition listed. I will also be re-reading the sequel, Delicates, this year. A third book in the series, Lights, published in September. I'm excited to read it.

Will this be my last Halloween season read for October? If not I might read What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher.
