This graphic novel changed the entire feel of the story. The biggest thing I hated was the "adaptation" characterizing the young characters as foul-mouthed and disrespectful. They weren't like that in the original story.

This story is odd, but I like odd. It's definitely Sci-Fi, but there is a hint of Fantasy. It's almost like Magical Realism, but the magic seems too real.

Magical Realism is when you can't tell if the magic is real or not. People label books like Practical Magic "Magical Realism," but it's not because the magic is portrayed as real.
