TELL ME TUESDAY #236 - Last. Now. Next.

LAST. NOW. NEXT.
NUMBER TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY-SIX

TELL ME TUESDAY is a floating feature, depending on your reading style, where you tell us what you read last, what you are reading now, what you will be reading next from your tbr pile, and why. I am curious why people read what they read, so tell me!

Joining us this week...
Jolene from JO'S BOOK BLOG
Michelle from IN LIBRIS VERITAS
Kwante from KWANTE IN WONDERLAND
Stop by and have a look at their latest grabs and tell them yours!I

 LAST WEEK'S TMT

★★★★★
(4.5)
MIDDLE GRADE
STANDALONE
CONTEMPORARY REALISTIC FICTION
FAMILY/BULLYING
IMMIGRANTS - SYRIAN
Published February 5th - Netgalley
I loved this book! If it's not a Newbery contender it should be.

★★★★★
It might be Middle Grade, but EVERYONE needs to read this book! I cannot believe it wasn't a Newbery winner. If you like the Little House books, you will like this, too, because it's a very similar storytelling style.

There will be a full blog Rewind Review up before the end of the month.

NONFICTION
BIOGRAPHY/MEMOIR
Karen, one of my favorite booktubers from RUNWRIGHT READS, is reading Maya Angelou's I KNOW WHY THE CAGED BIRD SINGS on her YouTube channel. I have been meaning to read this book FOR-EV-ER and this is an extra special way to experience it. You can access the playlist: HERE. We are on chapter sixteen.

ADULT LITERARY FICTION
STANDALONE
FAMILY/DEPRESSION/ADDICTION
Published February 5th - physical publisher ARC
The story is okay. It has some great moments, but chunks of it are bland and too lengthy. It's under 400 pages, but it feels like I've been reading it forever. Not a good thing.

LOVE STORY - Valentine's read
THE DARKEST LEGACY - buddy read with Annemieke from A DANCE WITH BOOKS
BLACK HISTORY MONTH TBR

.

And thank you to everyone still dropping by despite my dreadfully sparse presence on the internet. I have been very ill, but I'm hoping to be up to full speed soon; especially with my blog hopping. Love you all.

What are you reading? Tell me!
