TELL ME TUESDAY is a floating feature, depending on your reading style, where you tell us what you read last, what you are reading now, what you will be reading next from your tbr pile, and why. I am curious why people read what they read, so tell me!

This is the Turtle Recall Discworld reading challenge August/September Goodreads group read. I love and adore this story. It was a re-read for me and still a five star book!

I saw a tour review Liis had written on her blog Cover to Cover, and I was intrigued. I am really enjoyed it! I'm considering it a bit of an ecofiction, even though I haven't seen anyone else mention it. It was a story about what you value in life depending a lot on how much you've had in life. The story was stark and gritty. I haven't reviewed it yet because I want to ruminate on all the messages imparted. I will tell you one thing, though; the battle scenes didn't go on and on for pages and I liked that a lot.

I loved this story. I thought for sure The Humans was going to hurl me into a reading slump, but this book saved me from that. It's a heavy, gravely story written in poetic prose; a unique combination. It's about what happens when a parent labels their child with a disability to cover up their own lack of care and attentiveness for the child, and abuse. The MC grew up thinking they were odd and intellectually stunted and then finds out in their 50s they weren't, after the father dies. .

FAIRIES
Published 2018 - Hoopla Borrow
I don't know what the fudge cake this book is, but it's certainly not Middle Grade! I even went to Edelweiss to see what it was published as and it's identified as MG. Since when do elementary school readers care about good cheekbones, eyebrow shaping, and wine? The fairy is only four years old, but in this book that's an adult fairy and she's starting a job at a wish office. It reads like a cozy. Good grief.

MANGA. COMICS. GRAPHIC NOVELS.
Drop by Lindsi's blog on Wednesdays! There's a linky!

I'm up to volume #8. I have decided to read one a month regardless of my blog theme. I love these graphic novels to the moon and back!

I had two borrows left on Hoopla for this month, so I grabbed this graphic novel and the one below for my September Summerfall Witches theme here on the blog.
