COOKBOOK REVIEW & GIVEAWAY

Another light posting week. We started a new study at the office, so that means about 50 percent more work added on for at least another three weeks. That, coupled with me doing marathon blog commenting to catch up, meant only two posts were done.

I was surprised Saturday morning by this sitting on my nightstand. Baz Manchild bought it for me. A Red Robin recently opened next to Barnes and Noble and he and some friends went to eat, but there was a 45 minute wait, so they hung out in Barnes and Noble and he saw this. I think sometimes he remembers what a pain in the derrière he can be. Ha Ha!

BOUGHT EBOOKS
I came across information about MARY FIELDS when I was looking for my daily Facebook Black History Month post person. I was thrilled to see this for FREE, and it is still FREE at the time of this posting.

NETGALLEY
I saw this book on JO'S BOOK BLOG, when she reviewed it: HERE. I love dogs and I love stories set in NYC, so I ran to Netgalley to see if it was still available and it was! It was a Read Now, also, so instant score. Ha ha. It publishes March 7th.

This was one of those Netgalley non-ARCs they put up as Read Nows to get some new review action. I think maybe because Patti Smith's books are popular right now, but Patti is a poet and a writer; Blondie is not. I still thought it would be an interesting read because I was acquainted with some friends of hers and hung out a few times.

I did not read Gray's Firebird series because I saw too many conflicting reviews and had too many ARCs to read when the first book released. I read the synopsis for this one and liked it, so I decided to request and was delighted it came through. If I like this one enough I might give the first Firebird book a try. It publishes in early April.
