TELL ME TUESDAY #43

TELL ME TUESDAY is a feature that oozed from the fried brains of myself and one of my best blogging buddies. It is a weekly, or bi-weekly feature (depending on your reading style), where you tell us what you are reading now, and why, and what you will be reading in the future from your tbr pile, and why. I am oh so curious why people read what they read. So tell us!

My approval for PERSUASION finally came through on Edelweiss!

There was some kind of glitch with approvals, and Martina Boone's new publicist sorted it out. I am already 33% done, and sad because I don't want to be finished and impatiently waiting for the next Watson Heirs book.

I love these YA Paranormal books.

There is still a BIG GIVEAWAY going on.

What are you reading? Tell me!

  1. Oh, you got approved after all? Happy to hear! Maybe I should re-try and hope to be approved the second time!
    Happy reading La!

Yes, try again! This book, in my opinion, is even better than the first. :D

  2. I'm currently reading Paradise by Toni Morrison and Scarlett Undercover by Jennifer Latham. Thus far, I've only read one of Toni Morrison's novels, The Bluest Eye, so when my friend asked me to read Paradise with her, I jumped on it. I'm reading Scarlett Undercover because I love YA and I have yet to read anything featuring a Muslim American protagonist. My next planned read is Betting Blind by Stephanie Guerra, which is one of the titles I chose for the Spell It Out Challenge.

    1. I have not read anything by Tony Morrison yet, but The Bluest Eye seems to be the book that the most recommended to me, from that author. I really need to remedy this. The Spell It Out Challege sounds intriguing. You are the first person to comment about it here. Thanks for dropping by. :)

  3. LALA!! I'm glad that you got approved for a book you really looked forward to, dear!! I have never read Compulsion, but your loving it makes me want to read it myself! I admit I'm hesitant because of the negative reviews I've seen for it on GR, but hey, Queen of the Tearling got a lot of negatie reviews too and when I decided to try it, I ended up loving it!! :P Maybe the same magic will work here!

    1. I love folklore and superstion stories, so this was book was definitely my cup of tea. I don't generally like mysteries, but this story had me interested.

    1. I had given up n Paranormal YA because so much of it had become weak and cookie cutter, but Compulsion, and also The Raven Boys have gotten me back into it. :D

  5. Congratulations on being approved for PERSUASION! It looks really good. I still have to read COMPULSION, but I have a feeling that once I do I will want the second one.

    Happy reading!
