TELL ME TUESDAY #6

NUMBER SIX
NOW & NEXT

I FINALLY FINISHED THE QUEEN OF THE TEARLING!
It was five stars.

Welcome to our SIXTH installment of TELL ME TUESDAY. This little gem was conceived in the grey matter of our very own Brittersweet from PLEASE FEED the BOOKWORM, and is hosted by the both of us.

We want to know WHAT you are reading NOW and WHY, and WHAT you are choosing NEXT from your TBR pile and WHY. We are always curious why people read what they read...

After finally finishing The Queen of theTearling...

I wanted to read one more "read now" from Netgalley to bring my stats over 80%, so I am reading The Silver Rings.

I hope this is a Children's chapter book and not a Middle Grade. I can not find any information on it's classification, well, easily anyway.

It would be very entertaining as a Children's chapter a night bedtime story, but I feel it is a touch too silly for MG. It reads like a parent making up a bedtime story as they go along, but I have a sinking feeling it is intended to be MG.

*UPDATE: This is a Children's!! Yay!! I rated it a respectable three stars because it was wandering and wobbly in a few places and was confused by the Catholic religious imagery they threw in towards the end, but yeah, an okay book.

NEXT?
I am still entertaining a re-read of my precious Harry Potter books.

My son is not too thrilled that he has to go into the storage room and look for them for me.
(they are packed because we were supposed to move over a year ago)

Simon and Schuster FINALLY sent me We Are Called to Rise, my next diversity read, but it took over three months and it is not an ARC any longer.
So it isn't a priority anymore.

The only thing I know for sure is that I am going to read the Midnight Thief prequel novella Poison Dance.

Which, by the way, is still a free ebook on Amazon.

Don't forget to drop by and visit both Brittersweet at PLEASE FEED the BOOKWORM and our feature follower Pili at IN LOVE with HANDMADE.

*UPDATE: I am actually starting BURNING KINGDOMS right this second, well minute, I found out yesterday I had been approved on my second request when I went to download another book! Happy dance!!

  1. Oigh, I totally missed doing this one this week! So sorry, I had a blog tour for today and totally slipped my mind!
Right now I'm reading Attachments by Rainbow Rowell, Shadows by Paula Weston and Fortune's Risk by Jamie Grey! And all were chosen just because I felt like reading them!! Total mood reads (and shiny new books syndrome!).

  2. Congrats on finishing THE QUEEN OF THE TEARLING and woohoo for five stars! Also, YAY for over 80% ratio on NetGalley. I am still slowly working mine into an upward motion. Sadly, it's hovering around 50% but I'm working on it. I'm reading Wild Iris Ridge (Hope's Crossing #7) by RaeAnne Thayne for a blog tour review and listening to The Forest of Hands and Teeth (The Forest of Hands and Teeth #1)
by Carrie Ryan. It is an audio checked out online from my library. I'm enjoying it so far. :) Happy reading. I'm off to grab that Freebie you mentioned.

    1. I had forgotten all about The Forest of Hands and Teeth until you just mentioned it. I am off to add it on Goodreads before I forget again. Thank-you for stopping by. :)

  3. Hi! Congratulations on finishing, the review, and a great rating!

I'm reading The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe.So far I don't understand why it is called "spooky," but am really enjoying it. The main character, Connie, has just finished her oral exams and it heading into her doctoral thesis. Her advisor is requesting she seek a new and unique and undiscovered text to shake up the world of Colonial Historians. I don't trust him at all. Meanwhile, her mother has asked her to clean up her grandmother's house to be sold. LOVE this house. [However, I don't understand two things...first it is so well shaded is should not be hot, humid yes, but not hot. Second, how is she not more focused on cleaning and discovering things in that house. It is filled with treasures!]

    1. You sound like me with movies. There are certain movies I am into because of the house (Practical Magic). I agree, I would be going crazy in a house full of old treasures!
