TELL ME TuEsDaY #FOUR ~ with Brittersweet and La La

NUMBER FOUR
NOW & NEXT

This has been a pretty black and white week readingwise for me. It has been all about pumping up my stats on Edelweiss and Netgalley.

And you? TELL ME TUESDAY is a weekly/biweekly feature (depending on your reading speed) hosted by the ever so clever Brittersweet from PLEASE FEED the BOOKWORM and me, La La.

We want you to TELL US what you are reading NOW and WHY, and what you will be reading NEXT from your TBR pile, and WHY. We are forever curious why people read what they read!!

NOW
Again, I have only been reading one book at a time (so unlike me) because I have been working through a virtual pile of  Read Now" eARCs to give me more clout when requesting books from Edelweiss and Netgalley.

Right now I am on my second to last one...

I am enjoying it except for a pretty big geographical error, Philidelphia is not a seaport, and some odd questions people who grew up with horse and carriages, as transportaion, in the mid 1800s would probably not ask. It is about Annabel Lee and Edgar Allen Poe: Of Monsters and Madness.

NEXT
So my next book, and last of my "read now" diet, will be ...

I have already tried reading it, but in the beginning it seems like a lame rip-off of Harry Potter, with Hagrid being replaced by an old woman. I saved the worst for last, I guess.

When I finish Bobby Ether and the Prisoner of "read now" eARCs, I will be back to my loving of The Queen of the Tearling, and getting a feel for Midnight Thief by reading the prequel novella Poison Dance (which is still a free ebook on Amazon , btw). Oh, and let's not forget my diversity read Ishmeal's Oranges.

Our first TELL ME TUESDAY feature follower is, drum roll please...

  1. At Night I'm listening to The Silkworm by "Robert Galbraith". I'm about to start ~ The Promise by Robyn Carr, and after that ~ When Day Breaks by Maya Banks.

    1. Everyone seems to be reading JKR's mysteries right now. I read The Casual Vacancy, and LOVED IT, but I am not into mystery novels. I saw a couple of bloggers posting that even non mystery people would like the Galbraith books. What do you think?

  2. The Bobby Ether book does look quite annoying. :| I'm sorry it's a rip-off of HP! That must be frustrating! I would probably not be happy reading it either. I can't wait to read The Midnight Thief!
Thanks for stopping by @ Notebook Sisters!

    1. It turned out to be an enjoyable read, but they shouldn't refer to it as Historical Fiction because she took way too many liberties with Poe's timeline, and of course there was the geography error. Thank-you for visiting. :)

  4. It's no longer the Tuesday in which you posted this particular post, but it is still Tuesday, so let me tell you what I started reading today.

The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe.

It seems to be a really like it or hate it book if you scan the goodreads reviews. The first 22 pages have captivated me. I'm hoping the rest do too.
