TIDBITS
TELL ME TUESDAY is a floating feature, depending on your reading style, where you tell us what you read last, what you are reading now, what you will be reading next from your tbr pile, and why. I am curious why people read what they read, so tell me!
NOTHING
I'm still struggling a bit with Doctor Sleep, but not as much as I was in the beginning. Plus it's one looooooooong book; 531 pages. It seems like I've been reading it forever!

SERIES #1
GHOSTS
Published 1954 - Hoopla Borrow
This is a little dated in the way the author sometimes uses wordy, almost poetic, descriptors, but it's an enjoyable read in small sittings. It would make a wonderful spooky season family read-aloud chapter a night story.
ADULT FICTION

PARANORMAL HORROR
SUBSTANCE ABUSE/MENTAL HEALTH
Published 2013 - Overdrive Library Borrow
Around 20% this book got better. Before that it was terrible and I was dreading picking it up. Still it's a bit simple-minded with cliches like, "There's no crying in baseball." And then there are sentences like this one..., "She's tall even lying down." Ugh. There is also gun glorification, going as far as to hint there are certain situations where private citizens need assault rifles. I need to Google his stance on gun control. There's also applause for young girls being aggressive and "blood-thirsty." The substance abuse struggle and mental health elements are thoughtful and well portrayed, but the "horror" elements are just gross, eye rolly, and stupid. Did King fans even like this book? I read Salem's Lot, and It many years ago and I don't remember them being this basic.

THROUGH THE WOODS
Hahahahahahaha! I kept seeing this graphic novel on Instagram, and when I went to the page to add it on Goodreads, I saw Rothfuss' review and laughed and laughed. You can read his full review: HERE.
