TELL ME TUESDAY is a feature that oozed from the fried brains of myself and one of my best blogging buddies. It is a weekly, or bi-weekly feature (depending on your reading style), where you tell us what you are reading now, and why, and what you will be reading in the future from your tbr pile, and why. I am oh so curious why people read what they read. So tell us!
Go have a peek at their newest book grabs and tell them yours.

The last three books I read were so bad I rated them one star.

My next book I am certain will be a better read because I saw it reviewed on Pili's blog, IN LOVE WITH HANDMADE, and she gave it five stars. It is ONLY EVER YOURS by Louise O'Neill. You can read Pili's ARC review, HERE.
*so much cover love*
I fell in love with Pili's story description, so I ran to Netgalley and requested it and was approved! It is dystopian and I am excited to begin.
I had seen this book before, but because of the alternate cover...
I thought it was a Contemporary Romance and passed right over it.

I have been keeping one audiobook going at all times since I devirginized myself to these multitasking gems, a couple of months ago. I finished Jane Eyre and started a collection of all TWENTY-TWO Wizard of Oz books. It is 91 hours in total!
What are you reading? Tell me!
Wizard of Oz, huh? That sounds like quite the time commitment! I have the first book to read to my daughter. We've been doing a chapter a night on some books and I need a break from Magic Treehouse. LOL
ReplyDeleteSee your reply below. I don't know why I didn't hit reply on any of these! LOL.
DeletePre-read the Wizard of Oz because you are going to need to change out some grossness like the Tin Woodsman being forved to chop off his own body parts, and animals getting their heads chopped off. Lol!
ReplyDeleteI really hope you'll love Only Ever Yours! The title and cover can be a bit confusing, but oh boy, it's NOT contemporary romance at all! I'm all nervous now!
ReplyDeleteSee your reply below. :)
DeleteDon't be nervous! I still love dystopians as long as they have a storyline that is different from THG and Divergent. :)
ReplyDeleteOhh, I way like that cover of Only Ever Yours better! I agree the first one is horrendous. >_< I didn't even read it around other people because I was kind of ashamed and my sister was like "are you reading about barbie dolls?!" which lead me to try and explain that dystopian world which...was not easy. >_< SO YES. Cover revamp for the win.
ReplyDeleteAWK. You didn't like Made You Up?! DARN IT. That's like on my highly anticipated book list heeh.
I'm STILL reading Game of Thrones. Gah. But I'm also reading Siege and Storm and looooving Sturmhond. XD He's like Captain Thorne from the Lunar Chronicles but more inventive. LOVE HIM.
You will find your teply below. :)
DeleteAhhhhhhhhh!!!!! GRISHA! I still have not gotten to Ruin and Rising, but mostly because I saw a HUGE spoiler the day after it came out. I love Sturmhond, too! I will try to get my Goodreads review of Made You Up done before you read the book. Beyond the problem I had with the portrayal of Schizophrenia, the book had other issues, things like a town so small you miss it if you blink, but it has two large rival high schools in it. I mean Contemporary fiction does have to follow real world conditions. Also, a teacher younger than me that had done two tours of duty in Vietnam: not posible.
ReplyDeleteONLY EVER YOURS IS STILL AVAILABLE AS AN ARC???? That's so exciting!! I know my library doesn't have it and I had a friend (Kirsty at Studio Reads) who super loved it, so I've been wanting to get my hands on it! *Wails* I have so many books I want to read and it's distracting me from my challenge! (Also clearly I'm just giving up on the library ban. Ugghhhhh I have no self control!)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen reviews for Only Ever Yours and now I Am most curious. I have to go look it up. I have a copy of Made You Up and now I might not read it after reading your post. Ugh! I am reading Undertow right now and so far it is interesting. My audiobook is Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews, loving that series.
