TELL ME TUESDAY #377 - Last. Now. Next. - Tidbits #AmReading #BookGiveaways

LAST. NOW. NEXT.
NUMBER THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-SEVEN
TIDBITS

TELL ME TUESDAY is a floating feature, depending on your reading style, where you tell us what you read last, what you are reading now, what you will be reading next from your tbr pile, and why. I am curious why people read what they read, so tell me!

2022 A YEAR OF BLACK AND NATIVE AMERICAN AUTHORS

NOTHING

NONFICTION
AUTOBIOGRAPHY
NATIVE HAWAIIAN POLYNESIAN HISTORY
Published 1898 - Hoopla Borrow
This was the first book I started for Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders Heritage Month. It's boring, that's why I'm still reading it; I can only read it in small doses. It's a bit better now because it covers dates included in the Moloka'i book, so I'm getting more informtion about events in this book.

ADULT LIT
DUOLOGY BOOK ONE
HISTORICAL FICTION
HAWAII
Published 2003 - Hoopla Borrow
This novel isn't by a native author, but it is highly regarded by native Hawaiians. Seeing that I am finding it difficult to find titles that interest me, I'm breaking my Own Voices rule for the sake of Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders Heritage Month. It's very good. I really like it, a lot, and I'm fully invested in the characters, but there's something I just can't put my finger on that makes me not love it.

GOODREADS
YOUNG ADULT
SERIES BOOK THREE
FANTASY
Publishes July 22nd 2022 - NetGalley UK DRC
I can hardly wait to read this! It's the final title in the Dauntless Path series which started with one of my favorite books ever, Thorn. This is an ARC from a favorite author so I'm not breaking my challenge rules. Isn't the cover wonderful?

GOODREADS
It's been a long time since I've been this impressed by a children's picture book, so I had to show you all! The ebook has been on sale for $1.99 for two or three weeks, so I borrowed it from Hoopla to make sure it was worth the two dollars and I am in love! Love, I say! It's still $1.99 at the time of this posting

This is my favorite illustration for the story. It's all about different perspectives.
