TELL ME TUESDAY #89

TELL ME TUESDAY is a floating feature, depending on your reading style, where you tell us what you read last, what you are reading now, what you will be reading in the future from your tbr pile, and why. I am oh so curious why people read what they read. So tell me!

Joining us this week...

Go have a peek at their latest grabs and tell them yours!

LAST
I loved and adored this! The author's storylines are always wonderfully fluid. I am waiting for my MEMORIES OF ASH ARC now; the sequel to this book. It comes out in May.  Both SUNBOLT and the pre-order of MEMORIES OF ASH are ebook promotional specials of 99 cents, for a short time!

GOODREADS REVIEW
I don't think I have ever mentioned a picture book here on TMT, but this little gem is impressively delightful! I usually send my physical review copies to Kaylee, my Kookies and Milk reviewer, but the subject matter in this book is too young for her wise ways as a five year old. The ones I receive that I don't send to Kaylee I give to charity, but I'm keeping this one for my someday grandchildren!

I received a nice coloring book from a Netgalley request. Some of the approved bloggers were sent a physical copy as well, and I was lucky enough to get one. Seeing that it is going to take me years to finish the intricate LOST OCEAN coloring book Random House sent me, I am going to be having a GIVEAWAY (US) for this one on Thursday! It will also include a $5.00 Amazon giftcard towards buying colored pencils.

NOW
I have to be finished with this one by 1:30 pm so I can take it back to the library. Fingers crossed. I am enjoying it as an adult, but it fails as a Middle Grade.

NEXT
This is a Middle Grade ARC from Edelweiss.

What are you reading? Tell me!

  1. Ooh, I'm very curious (har har) about The Curious Tale of the In Between. Will you be reviewing it?!? I love Lauren Destefano on twitter but I actually have read exactly none of her books. THE SHAME. :P

    1. I will be reviewing it on Goodreads. And maybe as a Rant Review here on the blog because I don't review books rated less than four stars. :)

  2. I'm definitely intrigued by The Curious Tale of the In-Between though I'm not surprised it's not great as a MG. The cover alone leans a little dark. I'm looking forawrd to hearing your thoughts on it. Good luck beating the return time!

    1. I have a little more time to read it because I didn't want to go outside in 12° weather, and decided I would rather pay the overdue fees, ha ha. I might review it on my Middle Grade blog and post the link here.:)

  3. Like Cait, I follow Lauren DeStefano on twitter but have yet to read one of her books. I'm curious about that one and one of her other series. Her covers always look so appealing.

    1. I really liked the Chemical Garden trilogy and I loved the first Internment Chronicles book, Perfect Ruin, but the sequel Burning Kingdoms fell flat. It was way too predictable and she put a mythical being in it. It was a lot like putting a werewolf in The Hunger Games, ha ha. I hope this last book of the trilogy is better! :)

  4. A rainy day here, should be perfect for reading, but I had planned to write a review, so I'm procrastinating instead of getting any reading OR writing done! I always end up paying overdue fines, too!

    1. Rainy here, too, but snow tonight! I don't mind the library fines too much because they go to a good cause. Unless it is the dreaded on hold fines! :D
