THE SUNDAY POST #52

THE SUNDAY POST is a weekly wrap-up feature hosted by Kimba at the CAFFEINATED BOOK REVIEWER.

I tell you about how awful the Middle Grade ARCs I have been getting are.

WEDNESDAY

THURSDAY
LL&A's SPRINGTIME TAG
CHILDHOOD NOSTALGIA

SATURDAY
This Read-A-Thon is going on until Monday night, so you still have time to link up! I finished an entire book on Friday, and because there is also a writing component I finished editing two chapters of Hidden Magic yesterday and I will be posting them to Wattpad on Monday!

CAIT from PAPER FURY tells us all about Manic Pixie Dream Girl Syndrome: HERE. It is hilarious!

HEATHER from RANDOM REDHEADED RAMBLINGS offered up another strange and wacky book she has found in her wanderings through the Amazon book forest. You can view all of her bizarre book posts, including her latest: HERE

.
Downpour Audio Books is having a spring break sale that lasts until March 31st. I joined the site last summer because they have a summer reading program where you can download two free books a week for (I think it was) six weeks (it may have been eight). This sale has some wonderful titles...
JACKABY
THE HUNGER GAMES
THE SCORPIO RACES
SHIVER
THE RAVEN BOYS
CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG
WAR OF THE WORLDS
WAR HORSE
TALE OF TWO CITIES
BLACK BEAUTY
TARZAN
WATERSHIP DOWN
And more including several more classics like MOBY DICK. It looks like if you are a first time buyer you get your first book FREE.
I am definitely going to be buying Watership Down for a re-"read"!

Remember...

Have a magical week!

  1. I can't tell you enough - I'm so happy the writing/editing is going well!
That audio book sale does have some awesome titles included! I've really been meaning to get Jackaby but I kind of want a physical copy because the cover is gorgeous! I should definitely look into getting some audio books though..

    1. Downpour's summer program is great. Michele from In Libris Veritas posted about it last year. I think I downloaded about six free books. They had a lot of classics I wanted.

  3. The audiobooks sound amazing. I listened to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang not to long ago for the first time and loved it. It was such a fun read. Jackby, Shiver, and The Raven Boys are on my TBR and I probably should read Tale of Two Cities. I totally went the Cliff Notes route in high school but I've developed an appreciation for Dickens lately and should explore it a bit more. Have a great week!

    1. I hated reading Dickens in high school, too, but when I took a Victorian Lit class in college I liked it. I still love the movies better, though. Ha ha. But I would also like to read more. :)

  4. I had just been looking into different audiobook options (besides Audible) and your tweet with the five dollar audiobooks really got me looking into Downpour! And now I am even more excited because I might get the first one free?! Yes please! Have you heard of Scribd? I think I'm gonna try that one out. It looks like it's $9 a month and you get to listen to unlimited audiobooks that they have? I think that's how it works, but they have some really good titles on there so I think I'm gonna try that out!

    1. I have seen people mention Scribd before, but I didn't know that is what it was. I will be looking into that for sure. I love the Downpour free books for summer thing. I am the kind of person who adds up the freebies and bought books to avarage out how much total per book I have paid. Ha ha. :)
