THE SUNDAY POST #47

THE SUNDAY POST is a weekly wrap-up feature hosted by Kimba at the Caffinated Book Reviewer.

It is a chance to recap the previous week, share news, showcase books and/or bookish things we have received, and tell about what is coming up on our blog in the next week. You can view the guidelines, HERE.

I tell you all about what I finished reading, am reading now, and what I have coming up.
Wednesday's WEIRD WORD was...
A letter to someone you have an issue with.

My Love-A-Thon introduction post.

We said good-bye to Harper Lee. TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD has remained my favorite book since I read it in my teens. The above cover art is the same as on my paperback copy which is still at my mother's house somewhere. This is my favorite quote...
There was NEWS that JKR is expanding her FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM encyclopedia, and re-releasing it in hardcover sometime in 2017.
There is a feature on the website The Toast called Two Monks Inventing Things, where two monks discuss all things Medieval. It is hilarious! TWO MONKS INVENT BEASTIARIES had me rolling on the floor. At the bottom of the feature you will find links to more Two Monks!
I stumbled across this THE WALKING DEAD POP-UP BOOK. Ha ha! Here is a video...

The usual...

THE SUNDAY POST
Now, again, I might get a review posted, and I might not. I will, however, definitely be getting my BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE FOR WRITERS finished and posted, and be sticking it in somewhere amongst my regulars.
Have a fabulous week!

  1. That pop up book looks hilarious! My husband's a big Walking Dead fan so I'll have to see if I can find a copy. Two Monks Inventing Things sounds fun too. It definitely sounds like something I would enjoy. I'm looking forward to your posts this week! I'm especially intrigued to see what everyone's scariest moment. Have a great week!

    1. I am looking forward to the scariest moments posts, too! The TWD pop-up book would be a fab birthday or Christmas gift for your husband, for sure; maybe even Father's Day. Haha. :)

    1. Isn't all the new Harry Potter excitement wonderful?! I am so happy that I still have my To Kill a Mockingbird paperback. I would love a signed first edition, but it would never be better than my old tattered PB. :)

  3. You had some nice posts this week, your intro post and Beyon the books (I like that meme and participate sometimes, depending on the topic and if I can think of anything). Hope you're having a good Sunday!

  4. Ooh, I can't wait for your beautiful people post. ;D And omg a Walking Dead pop-up book?! THAT SOUNDS TERRIFYING. XDXD

It was so so sad about Harper Lee. :( Reading TKAM back when I was about...oh 14 maybe? It really influenced my first ever full-length novel...like a LOT. I usually say Narnia influenced me a ton, but it was TKAM moreso. I'm just reeeeally hoping they don't suddenly "find" more unpublished manuscripts of hers. Ergh.

    1. I know. About three months ago I read where her lawyer supposedly found yet another "lost" manuscript. So ergh is right. I will never read Go Set a Watchman, ever. :(
