THE SATURDAY SOUP
THIRTEEN
A SPOONFUL OF MY LIFE
HARRIET TUBMAN STATUE
VALENTINE'S DAY
AND A SOUP RECIPE
Welcome to The Saturday Soup! It's a floating feature I hope to post once a month, but if I can't find the time there's no pressure. I will be giving a life update and sharing a soup recipe.
I'm linking up with THE SUNDAY POST, hosted by The Caffeinated Reviewer.
On this last day of Black history month I'd like to highlight my city's Harriet Tubman statue. It was installed in March of last year and has been featured on the A Mighty Girl's Facebook page three times since.
VALENTINES DAY
I received a valentine from Talitha, who used to blog at Victorian Soul Critiques. I just checked and I'm Facebook friends with six people who used to book blog and two who still do. The butterfly pea flower tea and IKEA bumble bee are from my son. He's not a card giver. Do you know anyone who doesn't like to give cards? He says with the price of nicer cards being what they are he would rather give an extra gift.

Has anyone had butterfly pea flower tea before? My son thought it tasted like perfume. I thought it tasted like a weak chamomile tea. It is a wonderful blue color. I'm going to use it to give lemonade a blue tint and I am wondering what color it would make mixed with green tea.

Hope you have a great month!
ReplyDeleteThose statues are great.
ReplyDeleteI have used pea flower tea at parties more more prettieness than flavor. Lemons turn the blue of the tea purple. So I have served lemonade with cooled down tea on the side and then pour just a little in each glass before serving and watch the blue transform into purple.
