TELL ME TUESDAY #48

TELL ME TUESDAY is a feature that oozed from a post Twitter Party fried-brains stupor I suffered a while ago. It is a weekly, or bi-weekly feature (depending on your reading style), where you tell us what you are reading now, and why, and what you will be reading in the future from your tbr pile, and why. I am oh so curious why people read what they read. So tell me!

Yep, this is me right now...

I had to quickly finish up two 2 books I was reading yesterday. One had to go back to the library, and the other had to have three reviews posted (Amazon, Goodreads, blog) before noon in order to be eligible for a $50 Rafflecopter reviewer pool. Then I had four bookish packages to get ready to post during my lunchtime. All of this took place in heat and high humidity, with the knowledge I had to also grocery shop after work. So today picking a book to read was the last thing on my mind.

So... I am currently not reading anything.

I don't have any ARCs due until July 14th and at this point it is the only one that month, and August has just one (so far), but there are a boat load for September.

I wanted to read this as soon as it arrived...

but then yesterday, this showed up on my doorstep...

GAH!!!!

AND THEN...
an author friend of some author friends had a book on Netgalley I requested and was approved for.

(which I hope is good because I hate it when I socialize with an author pre-read and the story ends up being awful)

It isn't an ARC though, so there is no time pressure.

SO...
can you help me out, here? What book should I eat, I mean read, next?

And...
what are you reading? Tell me!

    1. My original plan was to wait until The Raven King came out and then marathon the last three Raven Cycle books, so maybe I will go back to that plan a read ADSOM. Ha!

  3. BABE. READ ADSOM. I don't even know why you're asking this question ;) Haha! To rekindle your love for reading (or make it grow hotter than ever before) read that gem of a book, please. this week I'm going to read Legacy of Kings and finish some that i started but haven't finished yet (procrastination is such a shitty thing, but it hits me so often).

    1. I just might crack open ADSOM tomorrow! Procrastination is the reason I have scaled back on EW and NG requests, so I feel your pain.

  4. Yeeeahhh, you can't go wrong with either ADSOM or The Dream Thieves. Plus...just remember you also have Lily Blue, Blue Lily to read before The Raven King...so you could space them out. :)

    1. I have had Red Rising and the sequel sitting on my Kindle forever. I should probably try to get to them this summer while my ARC pile is down. I have seen the Sticks and Stones title mentioned a couple of places, but I haven't seen any reviews yet.
