TELL ME TUESDAY #47

TELL ME TUESDAY is a feature that oozed from the fried brains of myself and one of my best blogging buddies. It is a weekly, or bi-weekly feature (depending on your reading style), where you tell us what you are reading now, and why, and what you will be reading in the future from your tbr pile, and why. I am oh so curious why people read what they read. So tell me!

JOINING US THIS WEEK
Go have a peek at their newest book grabs and tell them yours.

Last week was the ONE YEAR MILESTONE for this feature and I didn't even realize it! I am AMAZED that I only missed five posts in 52 weeks. It still hasn't caught on, but I have two regular followers and I LOVE them so much!

This came in the mail last week as my first successful #BooksForTrade transaction...

I devoured the first book, The Raven Boys, and am stoked to read this one!
★★★★★
I have all three books in the series in hardcover so far. The last book, The Raven King, comes out next January (pushed back from October). I won Blue Lily, Lily Blue, I did a guest review for The Raven Boys, and traded for this one. So, not bad, not bad at all. As soon as I finish Going Bovine, this will be my read!

What are you reading? Tell me!

  3. Woot I hope you'll love The Dream Thieves! I do have all three books but have not yet started the series. Waiting for it to be closer to the release date of the last one so I don't have to wait in agony like the rest of the blogosphere seems to be in haha~

    1. I was also going to wait and marathon the last three when TRK comes out, but when TDT arrived, I caved. Ha!

  4. I wish I was reading Dream Thieves for the first time again. That one was my favorite so far. *wistful sigh*

    1. Everyone was telling me to "wade through" The Raven Boys because TXT and BL,LB are so fabulous, but I LOVED TRB, so the next two should doubly knock my socks off!

  5. I still haven't read The Raven Boys...it's been on my shelf for years...I even have the audiobook. *sighs* I love her writing, I just get so 'moody' when it comes to reading. I pick things up with the intention of starting them soon, but then suddenly my mood goes into left field and I'm lucky if I ever look at it again.

    1. I am a very moody reader, too. I am always in the mood for SciFi, but everything else, especially Dystopian, is subject to my mood. I think you will love the Raven Cycle. :D

  6. Woot woot woot! It seems like this series was a success to you as well. I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't read it yet... but I will! I WILL! I just need to finish some ARCs and stuff first.. I'm drowning in them! Also I'm reading Spelled and The Diviners right now, a reread in time for Lair of Dreams ^.^

    1. The Diviners by Libba Bray? I have just been clued in to this author by Elizabeth from So Long & Thanks for All the Fish. I am finishing up Going Bovine by Bray right now. The going has been slow because it is a physical copyfrom the lbrary, and man oh man I am NOT used to that anymore. I am so spoiled by ebooks.

  7. Aw, the Dream Thieves! SO MUCH STIEFVATER LOVE FROM ME. *hugs all those books* She is such a queen of prose and characters and descriptions and YUS YUS I'LL STOP GUSHING NOW. Congrats on a year of TMT too, by the way! I'm not even reading anything. :O Just a few spider man comics (he is adorable and funny. I love Spider Man). I've just been writing too much recently and I tend to get all mixed up if I try to read and write at the same time. I don't want to accidentally copy, you know?! But I'm excited to start Rogue soon!! I loved Talon so much. :)

    1. I am always happy when you are writing! I had quite the comic book thing going on when I was a preteen. I loved Superman comics, even though back then I was frowned at sometimes because it was a "boys activity". Ha! How things have changed. And yes, #MaggieTheMagnificent is the top new author I was introduced to last year. I looooooovvvvveeeee her, too!
