NUMBER FIVE
NOW & NEXT
You guessed it I am still reading The Queen of the Tearling...
Welcome to TELL ME TUESDAY a refreshingly new feature from the thinking cap of Brittersweet at PLEASE FEED the BOOKWORM and hosted by the two of us. We want to know what you are reading NOW and WHY, and what you are picking NEXT from your TBR list and WHY.
We are always CURIOUS why people read what they read!!
THE QUEEN of the TEARLING is what I am reading now... still... yeah... I know...
This is just such a marvelous book I don't want to be reading anything else at the same time, and last week it was all about me pumping up my stats on Edelweiss and Netgalley, FOR NOTHING I might add... was turned down for Burning Kingdoms.
I should be finished by tomorrow and I am planning on doing a special review on it complete with my previous misgivings about the novel, lots and lots of thoughts, and some feels, too.
*UPDATE: I have finished!! Here is the link to my Goodreads 5 star rating and mini review.
NEXT
So what am I reading next?
I have no clue...
But I have been very nostalgic for Harry Potter as of late and may just do a summer re-read of the series.
Please stop by and chat wth our first feature follower: PILI from IN LOVE WITH HANDMADE!
I've seen the Queen of Tearling around! I love the cover, it's just so gorgeous! I'm glad you've enjoyed it too and hopefully you'll figure out what to read next ;)
ReplyDeleteThank-you for stopping by! Deciding what to read is always a problem when I don't have any ARCs.
DeleteWell, I gave up pretty quickly on the Karen Harper I was reading that I posted on my Monday post. It had elements I couldn't read, so I stopped. Still listening to The Grimm Legacy at night, I'm almost halfway through it, it's been good. For my Kindle read, I started Nil by Lynne Matson and I'm enjoying it a lot. Next is either going to be Peter Pan Must Die by John Verdon or Innocent Prey by Maggie Shayne. Both are from series that I read. The Verdon one is from a detective and the first book was sooooooo great, the other two were just ok, so I'm hoping this one is really good again. The Shayne one is of a self-help author who works with the police because she's able to witness crimes as they happen. I loved the first 2 books and I'm excited because this one isn't out yet and I got it as an ARC from NetGalley. :D
ReplyDeleteI am still trying to win Nil. At some point I will give up and go to the library. I never buy first books of "new to me" authors unless they are a super cheap Kindle deals. :)
DeleteWoooo!! Thank you!! =D
ReplyDeleteA good book will leave you with a bad hangover but re-reading a beloved series is always the best idea! Next time I have a bad book hangover I'll listen to Stephen Fry's reading of the HP books! It's amazing!
My sister keeps singng the praises of audio books to me. I need to start making bookmarks for people so maybe I should start listening, pun intended. These bookmarks were made possible by audio books, for which you need no bookmarks!! Lol. :)
DeleteI love this so much and it was your lovely noggin who birthed this feature also! Ve been away and out of sorts but I'm back now, aside from the cold. Let the skull bloggery resume. Down with the bloody big head! *flying kunch wuzzies*
ReplyDeleteHa ha!! Big Heads and Mini-means!! I got into trouble while you were gone anyway!! LOL!! It is much more fun to share it. I love the "Flying Kunch Wuzzies." I need to start a Skullbloggery dictionary. :)
DeleteSimon & Schuster seems like a tough publisher to be approved from, sadly. I've never been approved from them aside from a few SimonPulse titles. I'll be reading The Queen of the Tearling soon, so it's great to hear that you loved it. I read your review. :)
ReplyDeleteYay for TQotT!! Make sure not to gve up during the looooooooong and sometimes tedious first chapter. The story takes off almost immediately after that. Once the story starts to unfold you will understand the necessity for that chapter. Thank-you for stopping by. :)
