CUP • CAT • BOOK • LIFE
& Sometimes Cake
I have changed the name of my monthly The Saturday Soup post to:
CUP • CAT • BOOK • LIFE
The constants in life are my cups of morning coffee and evening tea, my beloved cat Zuzu, and of course books. The "& Sometimes" part will be random. It most likely will be a recipe, but might also be a craft, or activity. I will still have photos from around my city and thoughts about my life in general. Also, not having a specific day of the week in the title frees me to publish the feature anytime.

I am also going to include a section of THREE QUESTIONS for you about what's in your cup, in your bowl, and your current read.
•
There will also sometimes be an IN YOUR OPINION section asking what you think about my different blog and Bookstagram ideas... before I use them and waste my time on duds. Ha ha.
I'm linking up with THE SUNDAY POST, hosted by The Caffeinated Reviewer.
WHAT'S IN YOUR CUP?
Besides my usual coffee and tea I was drinking earl grey tea because I had chocolate cake for Mother's Day. I always drink earl grey with chocolate.

Let me know in the comments what your answers are...
My traditional Wegman's Ultimate Chocolate Cake for Mother's Day. Three years ago it got smaller, two years ago it was more expensive, last year it was even more expensive, and this year I could tell they used cheaper cocoa and it seemed a tad bit smaller. I keep saying I am going to start having Baz make my cakes for birthdays and Mother's Days and I think it's time that should happen. Again I had him get cheap flowers to offset the cost of the cake.
He also gave me this beautiful collectors edition of my favorite novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. It has Harper Lee's signature embossed on the cover and stenciled edges. I'll have more photos in my Hello June post.

This is what I want made for my birthday. Baz has a friend who is a fabulous baker and I think he will help him make this.
