TELL ME TUESDAY #40

TELL ME TUESDAY is a feature that oozed from the fried brains of myself and one of my best blogging buddies. It is a weekly, or bi-weekly feature (depending on your reading style), where you tell us what you are reading now, and why, and what you will be reading in the future from your tbr pile, and why. I am oh so curious why people read what they read. So tell us!

I have caught up with all of my current review ARCs and don't have another one due until June (at the moment), so yesterday I started a "catch-up" for Netgalley and Edelweiss eARC approvals that sat on my Kindle until they were published (oops). Yesterday I read Seeker and today I am starting The Paper Magician.

I also have a Netgalley download of its sequel, The Glass Magician. *studies hangnail and tries not to look too useless*

Anyway...

Finishing this book will complete my Goodreads 2015 Challenge goal of 52 books!

I found out about Teen Librarian Toolbox's #SECOND CHANCE CHALLENGE  through a post by Aimee on the Deadly Darlings blog, so my next read will probably be  Cobweb Bride. I liked it a lot, but wasn't loving it and at the time their were several books I was jumping with excitement to read, so I set it down. The challenge runs from May 1st through the 9th, so I might get another second chance book squeezed in there, too.

I adore this cover.

What are you reading? Tell me!

  1. I still need to finish Rogue, and then I need to read Chantress Alchemy and Chantress Fury afterwards! Hopefully I'll finish Rogue tonight!

  2. Are there more in-the-flesh dragons in Rouge? If there are maybe I will skim the second half of Talon, which I dnfed at 50%, and give it a try at some point. :)

  3. I'm reading DOUBLECROSS today, which is about some sort of superhero family and academy? Not sure, but it's pretty short so I hope to finish it in a few hours. After that, I'm off to reading ROOK! Reviews keep saying it has such a unique spin in the dystopian elements!

  4. Hahaha! I also have a handful of eARCs from NetGalley that are already out... Oops. :( And I'm so glad you're participating in the Second Chance Challenge! Good luck to us. ALSO, I just finished my 52nd book of the year (I think). Hooray for being reading twins. :) Right now I'm reading A History of Glitter and Blood and am LOVING the world building in it. <3

    1. I have not heard of A History of Glitter and Blood, so I will be running over to Goodreads to check it out. Once I get my back "not ARCs any longers" caught up I hope to keep it that way. I FINALLY did a chronological list of ARC pub dates, so that should help. Thanks for the heads up about that challenge, too. :)

  7. Yeah, I am just so behind on my NG eARCs! I think I'll have to do a mini review post with all the NG review copies that I never got around to, heh. And congrats on (almost) finishing your GR reading challenge! I think I'm 10 books behind on mine <.<

    1. I absolutely did not expect to have read 52 books already. Last year my goal was 48 and at this time I think I was about 10 books behind too, and didn't catch up until I did an ARC August challenge!
