THURSDAY TAG MARCH EDITION

It's time for another LL (not me) & A monthly tag! If you are interested in doing this tag make sure you link back to Library Luv's (the LL) tag post: HERE.

1. SPRING TBR?
My spring TBR is all ARCs! Every single one! I do have to read SUNBOLT, however, to get ready to read the ARC of its sequel, MEMORIES OF ASH.
Both ebooks are 99 cents for a limited time.

2. SPRING RELEASE SUGGESTION?
GOODREADS
I have not read this yet. It is one of my ARCs from Netgalley. I was first drawn in by the cover art, but the synopsis made me run back to NG to request it. The storyline sounds stellar. This standalone publishes May 7th.

3. TWO SPRING HIGHLY ANTICIPATEDS?
It is the last book in the INTERNMENT CHRONICLES. I adored the first book, PERFECT RUIN, but really had problems with the second book, BURNING KINGDOMS. It was really predictable and the author included a currently popular mythical being in the story which was really out of place because this is a dystopian tale. In my thoughts it was akin to putting a werewolf in the Divergent series. Heh heh. I am hoping this conclusion explains why there would be a mythical being in this world. It published on March 22nd.
This is the fourth and last book in THE RAVEN CYCLE. I won't be reading this until summer though because, well, my spring ARCpocalyse, and because I put off reading books two and three, after reading THE RAVEN BOYS, so I can binge read the rest of the series. Too many people were sobbing over cliffhangers. It releases April 26th.

4. A FAB EASTER BUNNY?
GOODREADS
Rabid White from A.G. Howard's disturbing Wonderland. Ha ha!

5. WHEN I THINK OF SPRING?
The descriptions of springtime in the Alps in this book are delicious. I also associate the book with Easter because the movie was played on television for the holiday, every year, when I was a child.

6. A COVER WITH FLOWERS.
GOODREADS

7. EGG HUNTING BUDDIES?
LUNA LOVEGOOD
&
DOBBY

8. FAVE BOOKISH SPRING THING?
Going to our local indie bookstore to shop for things to put in my son's Easter basket.
Or sitting in the reading garden at our city library with a coffee and chatting about books with my sister.

9. A SPRINGISH COVER?
GOODREADS
I adored this book. It is Middle Grade Magical Realism that deals with grief.

10. MY FAVORITE CONTEMPORARY AUTHOR?
Yikes! Because I do not gravitate towards YA Contemporary, and the few YA Contemporary authors I do love are all my special children, I will give you a favorite Adult Contemporary Fiction writer.
GOODREADS

  1. AHHH THE RAVEN KING!! *hyperventilates* I'm so ridiculously excited for it! And I found out my library already has it on order so omg, I'm 2nd in line and STILL SO EXCITED. (I mean, I'm going to buy it, but I need the hardcover to match my collection and that doesn't come out for EVER. Gah.)
I'll be curious to know what you think of The Lie Tree! I kind of wanted it, but the synopsis had me dubious. xD And I decided I have far too many books on my TBR right now to request more. heh. I'm tryyying to be controlled. TRYING. :P

    1. I will let you know! The synopsis is what grabbed me, and the fact that it us a standalone. I have the first three Raven Cycle books in hardcover. I won one, was gifted one, and traded for one, so paying out right for the last one won't hurt so much. :)

  2. This is a fun tag! I think I may have seen one other person do this tag before! I haven't read any of the books on your list, but I have the Splintered series and I kind of want to read the Raven Cycle series! Luna and Dobby would be such great egg hunting buddies! I think they would both make it incredibly interesting!

    1. Oh yes, read The Raven Cycle books! Of course I have only read the first one, but I adore the author's writing style. :)

  3. Oooohhhh The Lie Tree looks so good! I just added it on Goodreads so hopefully my library will get it eventually (or it'll go on sale on Amazon) since I'm rarely in a rush to read things anyway haha

    1. I will have it read by then and will let you know my thoughts. I have found it odd that so many people have said they were turned off by the synopsis.
