TELL ME TUESDAY #87

TELL ME TUESDAY is a floating feature, depending on your reading style, where you tell us what you read last, what you are reading now, what you will be reading in the future from your tbr pile, and why. I am oh so curious why people read what they read. So tell me!

Joining us this week...
Shannon from REX ROBOT REVIEWS
Go and have a chat with Shannon because not only does she let us know about the YA and Adult Fiction she is reading, but also shows us her latest grab from her noble quest to read all the Newbery Award winning Children's books, and lets us in on what she is reading with her five year old daughter. She loves hearing about what everyone else is reading, too!

This is going to be short and sweet. I had the 24-hour stomach bug yesterday and I feel like I was run over by a bus today. Ugh.

LAST

MIDDLE GRADE
Great premise, bad execution.

NOW
MIDDLE GRADE
Cheesy simile after cheesy simile with a lot of OMGs and stereotypes thrown in the mix. This will probably be a DNF.

NEXT
I am basically caught up with all of my fiction ARCs so I am going to be perusing my non-fiction ARCs including the ton of cookbooks I just received from Netgalley. I was thrilled to be approved for this ultra-popular culinary title...
Be still my pescetarian heart!

What are you reading? Tell me!

  2. Oigh, so sorry to hear that you've been feeling poorly! Damned stomach bug! *shakes fist*
Yesterday I spent all my free time after chores immerse on The Winner's Curse trilogy... re-reading and then finally reading the final book... so now today I have a massive need for a nap and a massive book hangover!!

    1. I hope you loved the finale! Does the author have anything else in the works now that that trilogy has come to a close? I feel much better today, thanks. :)

  3. Omg I love that title of that cookbook!! XD So perfect. hehe. And that is awful about the stomach bug. D: I hope you rest up and get your energy back soon!! I just finished reading Passenger by Alexandra Bracken and it was sooo boooring. My second 1-star of the month. Agh I feel bad. But I'm about to start Underwater by Marisa Reichard which I haven't heard much about across the blogosphere, so I'm keen to see how it goes. :D

    1. I haven't had anything above a three (and most of them were actually 2.5) in about a month! Even some of the bigger publishing houses seem to be pushing crap these days. It is so disheartening. I have not heard of Underwater, so I will be looking forward to what you think.

    1. You deserve more shoutouts! I love the dual reviews you do with your co-blogger. You read and review so many books I am thinking about reading. :)
